DV 2024 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Can’t we see whether a biometric appointment has been sheduled in the Uscis online account which we created @K_U_USA Also I still haven’t received my Noa letter. We received the text message at the same time.

My online account is not yet showing biometrics phase. Do you think the appointment is already scheduled but not updated in account and letter not received yet?
Your online account will not show if the bio has been scheduled or not.

Maybe a long shot, but can GZ on the spreadsheet reach out to me? We're current in the same month as both F1's, would be a good idea to keep in touch regarding the process!
Those two common factors are irrelevant for gauging your progress against one another since you're both not under the same FO. You should be bench-marking case progression against other processing in the same FO as yourself at this point.

Is there any way of knowing if bio has been scheduled if i haven’t received any letter from uscis yet…?
You've already be advised to reach out to Emma to find out if your bio appointment has been scheduled. In the interim, you can use the Timeline spreadsheet to get an idea of how long on average it took fellow filers from your ASC/FO to receive their bio notice/NOA after the acceptance notification was received.

Thank you very much, i was able to get into chat with Emma, the bio is scheduled for may 30, but i haven’t received the letter yet. Is it possible to walk in to bio without having bio letter?

No you cannot walk-in without the bio notice.

Hi everyone, I realized that we potentially made a mistake.

Both my husband and I had high school (11 grades) + BS + MS education. In our DS-260 we added information about high school, BS and MS and in our AOS document pack we added only high school diploma copy as we thought this was enough.

Was this correct? Will we have any problem because of that? What should we do in this case? We've already got confirmation from the lockbox that they got the documents

I think there's no issue because they only require a high school diploma. If they really want to check, they will send you an RFE (Request for Evidence) mail, and you can supplement it at that time. Or you can bring it with you to the interview if they don't contact you by mail.

Hi Mom, I am about to request a call with a Tier-2 agent and need your advice. because all DV cases are expedited already, and I don't want to initiate an expedite service request, even though I have a legitimate humanitarian reason due to my family situation. I just want to bring attention to my case and get an update other than the generic updates they provide. if I simply inquire about the status, they will direct me to check online, which won't provide the details I need.
  1. What should I tell them during the call?
  2. What should I ask them to do to bring my case to the attention of my Field Office?
  3. How should I phrase my questions to get a meaningful update or to check my clearance and obtain the real status of my case?

I know it's too soon to panic, but I'm feeling anxious about this. Other folks from my Field Office have had their cases resolved just 2-3 weeks after their biometrics. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There is no magic word/phrase to use. I cannot tell you what to tell them as I do not know what your legitimate humanitarian reason is. You however can share that information with frontline agent and keep your fingers crossed.

Meanwhile if you've already observed other folks from your FO had their cases resolved just 2-3 weeks after their biometrics while yours has been longer than that, I think you already know why considering you've already confirmed your case was put on AP when you applied for your F1 visa. Considering your FO is actually approving DV based AOS cases without interview, you honestly just need to be patient at this point. There's nothing they can do if your background check clearance is still pending.

Thank you for your answer. If I get a Tier-2 agent on the phone,
1-can they send a follow-up inquiry to the Field Office on my behalf, or is this not typically what they do?
2-Also, do you recommend initiating an expedite request, or is there no point in doing so since our cases are already expedited?

1. Yes they can.
2. Like I already stated, DV based AOS cases are already expedited. However if you feel you meet the criteria for further expediting, you can submit an expedite request if you like.

Your online account will not show if the bio has been scheduled or not.
Really? That seems so odd considering there is a 'reschedule bio appointment' option in the drop down list for the online account. Oh well, guess everyone has to be patient and wait for their bio notice to come via snail mail.

Hi Mom.
Sorry, maybe a silly question, but how can I include a money order of 1440 dollars in my package if, for example, Publix can give me only 500 dollars Max, Postal money order is 1000 dollars max. Can I split the amount of 1440 into two payments? Thank you.

My bank issued me cashiers check for full amount payable to us department of homeland security

Tier-2 agents are real IO, so they have access to see whether the background check has been finished or not, right?
Tier-2 agents are direct USCIS employees (unlike the frontline agents who are contractors) with a higher level (not necessarily full) access to case files, they’re typically not the IOs responsible for adjudicating applications.
