DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hi everyone,

I sent my AOS package first day of the last week via USPS to the USCIS Chicago lockbox. Unfortunately, delivery didn't go smoothly. First, it was mailed to the wrong state and redelivered to Chicago, which also led to a later delivery than expected delivery date. Yesterday, the delivery status turned to "Delivered, Individual Picked Up at Postal Facility". Because the delivery itself had some issues, I am a bit worried if this is a standard procedure that USCIS picks up a package at Postal Facility. If they do, is it possible to be picked up on Saturday from USCIS? Did this happen to anyone else here?
USPS has all sorts of “weird” delivery update messages for USCIS mail - nothing to worry about at this point IMO.

Hi everyone,

I am currently a F1 student (No CPT) who came to the US on September 2021 for my undergrad. I was not employed till September of 2022, and joined as a part time tutor during September 2022 (part of the university). So I don not have any IRS transcript for the 2022 year. Do you know what action I should take, as it was requested as part of the AOS package? Thank you for your time.

An IRS tax transcript is not listed as a requested or required part of the AOS package. It is listed as one of the recommended documents (for those who have it) for demonstrating financial strength to include with their AOS package. If you’re able to find someone to provide you with an I-134 and the applicable supporting documentation, that would be of great help to your case.

Hi Sm1smom,

I decided to go with the money order option to pay the AOS fee. The money order requires the address for the U.S. department of homeland security. I live in Colorado and I will send the AOS package to the USCIS Phoenix Lockbox. Is the address on the money order the same address for the lockbox?

U.S. Postal Service (USPS):
USCIS
Attn: AOS
P.O. Box 20500
Phoenix, AZ 85036-0500

FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries:
USCIS
Attn: AOS (Box 20500)
1820 E. Skyharbor Circle S
Suite 100
Phoenix, AZ 85034-4850

Thanks,

Oh no, I didnt noticed these discussions and wrote "No" though I have included I-134 in support ...
Hey ! Yes, it was me asking the question since I also wrote « no » for that question. However, I did receive my acceptance msg and letter. So, just as mom said, maybe they’ll ask me to fix that part at the interview. I’ll keep you updated on that.

Hi Again, we're really hoping to jam pack our application for a possible no interview acceptance. Not expecting it but as a straight forward applicant thought we should maybe try and really make it a slam dunk as much as possible.

My daughter, 19 years old has been here for 6 years unable to work due to her visa type. I too can't work and I don't think her brother could really satisfy the I-134 as his visa is non-immigrant status and in entertainment so not overly stable.

She has a bank account in Australia that we only just opened that has $15000USD equivalent in it. Again, as she's been here since a young age doesn't have a financial history.

We're not overly comfortable asking a friend to do an I-134 but we can.

Do you think the money would be enough or should we really be looking to add the I-134 and/or job offers as a minimum.

thanks so much again.

Hello,

I have my GC interview coming up soon and I have a question about my documents. Please see it below.

1) I am currently an F1 student and cannot find my F1 Approval notice to add to my interview documentation. I do not remember if there even is a notice however I do have all of my other F1 documentation like my visa, all I-20s, EADs etc. Will I still be okay in the interview? Thank you.

I have no idea as to what you mean by a F1 approval notice.

Hello, l received a rejection notice for my AOS but the problem is all the reasons they stated for rejecting my AOS l double checked and l had everything done. for example they said my application didn't have a signature but its signed, they also said l didn't complete the section of application type but l checked that too and it was completed (l marked the diversity visa box) then the other reason was that l submitted an outdated version of the form but that's not true l submitted the new version. lam perplexed! l don't know exactly what to correct since everything they mentioned was done correctly the first time. Is this normal? l did not submit my medical exam report with the application, could that be the real reason it got rejected? l had read that it was not necessary to submit the medical report with the AOS since l can bring it to the interview. What do you think? l would really appreciate any insight on this matter because lam truly confused.

Thank you.
Hi, Please share what went wrong. Thank you.

Hello Mom,

There is one question in I-485 that confuses me. I have attached a screenshot of it.

So, I filled out DS-260 with IV location as the consulate but recently decided to do AOS. Currently, my case is at the KCC and they have not sent it to the consulate. As I initially selected the consulate for the IV location, should I answer yes? Or as it is essentially the same application should I answer no?

I am sorry if I could not explain myself. Thank you in advance for your time.
