DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hi mom,
I hope you're doing well. It's been 19 days since I received the NOA letter, but I haven't received any biometric notice letter or seen any change of status in my USCIS account yet. Should I continue waiting, or would it be better to contact them? I've already added my case to the timeline spreadsheet.

It is not unusual to not see any update after the initial one until after the case gets adjudicated. Your timeline processing is on track, so again, exercise some P.A.T.I.E.N.C.E.

hello, for the aos application, can i include the I-797C form instead of the I-797 form for some of my family members? is it mandatory to send only I-797?

II am not sure how to chat with Emma! Every single time I chat with a live agent, their responses are either nonsensical or unhelpful. When I asked if there is any update on my case, she simply said, 'Please check the DV lottery program page.' My case has been pending for more than 6 weeks now." Do you guys know if there is any better to contact USCIS?

Hello, it's been a week since my money order was cashed, but I haven't received any e-notification nor notice of action in the mailbox yet. Is this common?

Today I went to LA FO to ask for a copy of a denial notice. Even though I wasn’t supposed to, they let me in and I talked to a clerk and he asked his supervisor for a copy. Very kind human being. A supervisor talked to my IO and according to IO he sent a notice on Friday. I live couple of miles away. Usually is a 2 days deal, but I did not receive it. They said to wait.

Maybe try a walk in and ask them to give you an update ? So in case of a denial you would have a time to file a motion for reconsideration. Act! And best of luck!

Thank you so much! I don't know ithat if they accept walk-ins or not! Typically, security won't let you in without having an appointment. I will try walking in next week if there is no update.

hey mom, one more question. I included bank statements, do i need to include tax return "transcripts", or can i just submit the tax return from my accountant?

Hi @Sm1smom,
Yesterday I followed up by requesting a Service Request to be submitted to my local FO (as suggested by a Tier 2 officer last month). I did receive an email receipt confirming the submission of the request. What does submitting the Service Request really mean?

The AOS Process Spreadsheet has a list of the recommended supporting financial documents. Please refer to it.

Case inquiry/status update request.

Hi Mom! What could this status mean/lead to? It doesn't look like RFE. For the record, the previous status was "RFE sent" which I replied to.
