DV-2012 -- Looking for people who applied on Oct 5 or 6 and WAS NOT selected

Why would he search for those people?

Why not? We still have another drawing on July 15th.

Why would anybody give their confirmation number and personal information before a lottery drawing is only my guess.... Would you do that kind of thing if the glitch did not happen?

Think about it.. what kind of person collects personal info like this? Are you sure the email comes from the lawyer himself and not.... a scam artist?

Because he believes random means haphazard. Showing any kind of haphazardness (like if some people who applied on 5th or 6th won and others who applied on 5th or 6th did not win) helps him to make a point there were no simple rules during selection process, and he will make a point the results were haphazard. Haphazard is one of the meaning of the word random, but not the one that makes sense in the context of the law.

It is like if the law says "The lottery will be drawn on Red Square", but actually occurred not in Moscow, but on a small square in the suburbs St. Petersburgh by mistake. Then comes Mr.White and says that this square has a couple of red bricks, so the law was in fact followed. And now he is looking for guys who saw those red bricks on that square to prove his point.

Why does he need to show 'haphazardness' by getting a few people to show that they did not win...
The KCC already has records of everything, and everyone, and they have records showing all people who submitted on the 5-6th and did not win.
The court can easily procure that data without asking each non-winner.

Quick! This is urgent! Send me your confirmation number, full name, credit card number, expiry date, security question and your mother's maiden name!! This is God's given lawyer and we must trust his judgement! God works in miraculous ways!

That is his plan, to show haphazardness. Because he wants to prove it was random already.

But how are you going to show randomness by asking a few people? Why can't he get the court to order the DOS to give the information on how many people did not win on the 5th and 6th? They have all the data already.

Court will not ask DOS to collect data that is not relevant to the case and creates a burden for DOS to calculate.

if that is not relevant to the case, why are we collecting this info? the DOS doesn't have to calculate nothing. its on the record.

Because depending on the results it might be relevant. And if it is relevant, then court might ask DOS to do something.

DOS has to do something to present the data, on top of what DOS already does. That might delay other work DOS is doing. That is why unless court really thinks it is relevant, it will not ask DOS for anything.

I don't actually see meaning into these info Mr. White is collecting! I mean, there should be more that 10,000 applicants on those two days, and the computer was only programed to select only 100,000, so of course, not every person that submitted his/her entry the first two days will be selected!

By your hypothesis, there shouldn't be any winner on Oct 6, all winners should have come from Oct 5. There is no point jumping some persons on the 5th and go on to select another from 6th. DOS claimed that the winners were selected according to earlier date of entry and the computer failed to randomize the entry.

more than 10 000? if each days recieved the same amount of entries, day 1 should get like 490 000 entries...

THIS IS VERY STUPID AND UNNECESSARY

let me explain.

first DOS said the computer program HAD an error, not all part when non fuctional just one part.

so why were people chosen from 5th and 6th, if we got 500,000 people registering a day?

here is why

when the program started selecting, it started selecting with NOOO randomness what sooo ever, meaning it was picking names by FIRST REGISTERED FIRST PICKED BASIS( not random) BUT what happens was some parts of the program where functional, so when a country was reaching its limit of 7k selectees, the program would dumb the rest from that country and move on to the next country AGAIN SELECTING FIRST REGISTERED FIRST PICKED from new country.

for example if bana republic gave 2 million entries thew first day, the program would choose the first 7k who registered from that country and dump the rest of the two million THATS WHY WE HAVE WINNERS FROM 2 DAYS PEOPLE

THE SELECTION WAS NOT RANDOM MOVE ON

Ryan, stop feeding people with your rubbish hypothesis. No one knows for sure how this mess occurred except for DOS. Rather than speculate as facts, lets wait for the display in court on 12 July. The outcome could go either way and then we can all move on.

how do you explain winners from later dates? I know some people form 19th and 21st but still got selected. I also know people personally from 5th not selected and others from 6th selected (all these from my country)
and again how do you explain couples registering within minutes on the same day but only one got selected?

@baltimore_p......... Spot on bro!!!! You hit the nail straight at the door.

@ ryan........ That's the dumbest speculation I've ever come across on this forum. I feel if you don''t have the slightest clue about something, it pays to just STFU and not scribble gibberish on here. I can say with utmost certainty that nobody in this forum can explain or knows why %90 winners came from the first and second day of the entry.. So just chill out till July 12, which is like 2 days from now. Whatever the court decision is on July 12 will be binding on July 15.

Most of all, good luck to everybody come July 15

Just my 2 cent
