I have questions about I-485 RFE.
1) Generally what type of RFE USCIS issues?

2) What are the documents they ask for employment verification:
i. W2s
ii. do they ask for last pay stubs from previous employer?
iii. do they ask for latest pay stubs from new employer?
iv. do they ask for tax filings
v. what else??

Please let me know me detail, so that I can prepare for RFE. I have changed my job and so far not informed abt it.

Congratulations!!!

One approval is good for me.
this is 3rd prediction in the row coming true(3 out of 3).
I feel the power growing inside me :D :D . I guess no need to do predictions
anymore. It is clear now that CIS is processing cases that got 2FP in/around
1st week of May. Let's see how fast they can move to 2nd week of
May. :cool:

I think 5 to 8 weeks after 2nd finger print is good time frame I would predict.
Also I don't know whether clock starts from the date CIS received finger print results or the date the finger prints are taken ??
Could you please share your thoughts!!! :)

I am happy to see the June case approval.
I am also a June applicant (6/10/02).
Could you please correct some of the dates as I feel there are some typos in it.

Do u think that my case is an exception in your theory.
Our 2nd FP 04-20-2004. According to FBI, FP update sent to USCIS on same day. Received letter from FBI that name check completed in Jan 2003.

RD-09-11-2002
ND-09-21-2002
1st FP 10-28-2002 (spouse 11-21-2002)
3rd EAD not yet applied, in anticipation of 485 approval
7th year H1, no employment change, EAD not yet used.
AP never applied

Thanks for the kind words. I am watching rupnet everyday for approvals, and
hoping this trend with 2FP moves on to 2 week of May.

5 to 8 weeks would be my guess too as of today. But, from rupnet data,
it seems CIS received a lot of 2FP during April/May. So, there is a possiblity
for time difference between 2FP and rfe/approval to increase.

When i called NVC to inquire about my status of 2FP, the lady said they
usually take some time to update online the receipt of 2FP. I guess they
usually receive it as soon(day or 2) as they are taken. Although, We have
seen for many cases there is no update at all.

So, i guess for most of the people the date CIS received finger print results
should be the almost same(day or two diff) as the date the finger prints are
taken.

I still see some people getting approved with 2FP in 2nd half of april 2004.
I don't think you have missed the boat. Just, hang on for some more time.

Sivam, the dates are right

Somehow, my case was not approved and no change in status line, as if they recieved 1st finger print results on july 3rd 2003. Called call-center, no help.
Well, I rather wait and see than going for politicians help.
 
In Rupnet, user "Tired" has posted his approval. His ND: 06/17/02 and 2nd FP: 05/08/04. NO RFE.

2nd FP theory seems to work.

One more prediction came true. But, they are still processing people
with 2FP in last April/Begin May 2004. Looks like there are a whole
lot of people.

Got RFE

Finally some action. I had hoped for an approval but got an RFE instead. Don't know what it is for yet. Got USCIs email saying RFE generated 6/24/04.

No change in employer, client or address. wondering what the heck the RFE is for. :(

Guys a related question. Who will recieve the RFE notice. Me, my company attorney or both? Please share your experience.

It took around 9 weeks for dipc1 after his FP2. The latest FP2 USCIS processed may be 05/10/2004.

Ohioapp: As you said USCIS seems to be processing FP2 ranging from Mid of April to Mid of May. Let us hope they will take later FP2 cases very soon.

Srirangam: Your attorney will get the RFE letter. Keep in touch with your attorney and try give quick response to your RFE.
