Does second time FP (code1) implies anything?

Hi All,

Once more i have a small question to ask. When USCIS asks to do the finger print (FP code 1) again, Is that mean they are going to decide on the case? I asked you this becuase i don't see the point of giving FP again unless the decision is to be made at least within a year. If not, one might end up giving the FP for third time which i think is a bit excessive.

Please shear me your thought and experience as usual

Jone, You have no option here. If you dont give your fingerprints, your application will be considered abandoned. So do your FP, they expire every year so thats why you have to do them again.

You have no choice but to do as USCIs wants you to. GC is a privilege and not a right so you can't have the attitude of "I don't see the point"...

Not "excessive" if you want your green card. :D :D :D

As of now i would say it take 18-24 months for an asylee to get a GC ( more or less), so it's pretty much 2 FP and 2 Med. Exams, but i know a person waiting for 5 years who had to do this stuff every year without any complaints. Immigration system is not perfect but i personally think it's pretty good anyway and they don't have to explain everyone why do they have those rules. Just play along and get some patience.;)

Hi All,

First thanks for sharing your ideas but i feel my post is terribly misread (at least by wantmygcnow and thankful). So it might be a good idea to rephrease it again.

First of all i am not resisting to give FP. In fact i already gave the second one (please try to read the whole message before response). I hope we all very well know how important it is to follow the procedure correctly too. So my questions are not about patience or privilege and right. But my questions were:

1) When one asked to give similar FP for second time, is that mean his case is going to be decided soon? Because we all know FP expires after a year, so I don't think USCIS asked us every year to give FP. They asked us only when our file is revisited which in most case is to give decision. Is this observation right or wrong? For example, I just gave the second FP, is that mean i am going to get a decision soon or not?

I hope i did better job expressing myself this time.

Fp

In the past FP were stored on paper. When USCIS introduced biometrics, their ultimate intent is to store them electronically. I think they are storing them electronically. Why they request Bio1 2 and 3 is beyond me. They should capture everything they need once and get on with their business.
They don't necessarily ask for your FP when they are ready for a decision. Now, its a common practice to capture your FP after you file for your adjustment, so your file is ready when they get to it.

As far as meidcals are concerned, they ask for it when they are ready for the decision. That's why they don't ask for it with your application.

Jone,

Personally I think it's a good sign. Bio1 is used for GC production, and I think that they needed it because they are working on your file. They probably didn't ask for Bio 3 or 2 because your background check has cleared and they don't need to redo it.

Thanks for the responses.

MGTgrl, that is exactly what i am thinking. I hope it is not just a wishful guess. BTW, was it not Bio 2 (index fingers only) used for GC production? Let me know.

A combo of bio 1 and 2 which is bio 3 is used for GC production. So in your case they have what they need for GC production but your FP is expired so they ask for bio 1.
