Does country of origin get notified upon naturalization?

Is there any way for your country of origin to know that you acquired U.S. citizenship thru naturalization if you don't tell them yourself? I mean, is there anything like a list of recently naturalized persons or does USCIS actively notify your country of origin?

The U.S. or USCIS does not send lists of naturalized citizens to the home countries of new citizens.

Nope, the country of origin doesn't get any information from US agencies. The way they find out is when you travel to the country, or when you renew their passport (if they require proof of legal status in the US APART from a passport).

Well they do not ask for the legal status in the U.S. when I travel back to Europe. However, the airlines ask for legal status in the U.S. when I want to check-in for the flight U.S. bound. I don't know if that information maybe gets interlinked with my EU passport?

For many reasons I believe it is always better if the EU government is agnostic of other citizenships a person may have.

Well, some countries ask you where you've been when you enter, and if they don't see how you could have been to the US without a visa in your passport (or a stamp), they could get suspicious.
