Hi
how much should you show on your US bank account to waive the affidavit of support?a scanprint of the bank balance is enough for the consular interview?
thank you
Don't tell ppl that bullshit. If you could think logically you had realized that most DV winners don't have any bank accounts in the U.S. nor have they ever been here.If you don't have US Dollars in US Bank the forget it

It doesn't matter where the funds are.
U both correct on certain issues. I agree that it depends on which Country u in. A good example is my country Zimbabwe. You could have billions of US dollars in yr account but by law u can not move money out. U can only recieve. On the other hand very few people would have US bank accounts. Its a lottery at the end of the day. Its not in their best interest to make it an impossible task. Depending on the laws of your Country you will know how to go about it. To be on the safe side ask the embassy in your country for the info.
US Consulate in Montreal, Quebec, Canada doesn't accept self-sponsor based on Canadian Funds in Canadian Banks. People are told to either get I-134 or Employee Offer Letter or showing US Funds in US Banks.
If Canadian funds are not accepted, I am pretty sure Asia/Africa would not be considered either.
So if you have money in your own account in your home country and it is enough according to the 125% poverty chart...it is still not accepted for a GC...is that what you are saying?
