Hello dear US Immigration Forum.
Last year on Sept. 16th my mother, my little sister and I entered the US and applied for Asylum (around a month after that). We had our interview around Christmas, which was a really hard time for us, but unfortunely we only got a denial and we are pending since that day.
My mothers Immigration Lawyer kept saying that we were not able to get employment authorization and she was 100% sure that we could not. We suffered since that day and had to go through alot of bad days to be able to survive to this very day.
Around 4-5 months ago we made a little pressure on my mums Immigration lawyer, because everybody kept telling that we were eligble for an EAD so she sent the I-765 application for us in and we waited. After waiting 3 months and suffering 3 more months we got a letter, which wanted more "evidence". We posted that in and waited another few weeks, suffering, and we got a DENIAL at the end.
The letter says that there was a "delay" with our Interview (we did not know about it, but our Immigration lawyer probably did...) and that was already a reason to make our case STOP at 50 days (as far as we know now we have to wait 150 days to apply for an EAD) and that that was already a reason for our I-765 denial. It also said that the "clock" would restart and it gave us a number to call and ask (LA Asylum Office) for the "clock" , but that number was NOT correct and it connects us to a guy that hangs up, thinking to himself who we are...
My mum still owes her lawyer 1000-2000$ , but we already paid her 3200$ with all our struggle. My dad stopped supporting us and we got kicked out of my aunts house in LA, because she preferred her new drug-dealer boyfriend.
Not to brag and I am very sorry to everybody that does not like what I am about to write, but I am a very talented person in every way, but I have no opportunitys right now and we are struggling. We have to humiliate ourselfs in front of hundreds of guests at peoples celebrations and do the dirt-work in order to survive. I cant attend College, because I have to pay thousands of USD´s because of non-resident tuition (cannot apply for my residency without EAD). My mother has nerve problems and her stomache makes her suffer more than anything you could possibly imagine.
Please, if there is anybody that has advice for us. I beg you... My mums Immigration lawyer b*tches, because we told her that she was wrong in a couple of things and the reason why we did NOT get approved (probably) in our interview was because she put over 70 mistakes on the forms, which got all marked as WRONG and this is so bad. We have no money for any other lawyer. Please, Im begging you. I hope you can understand my pain. Im having hope with this Forum.
To give you more details, we are from Germany, but we have a huge case with alot of evidence, because my mother almost got killed in a huge shooting accident (I do not want to tell more details).
And besides that, can we get our drivers licences from the DMV with having our proof that we applied for Political Asylum!?
Most important, how can I contact the LA Office for Asylum to ask for that "150-180days clock" for our EAD (I-765).
