I am currently in F1 status, and I am waiting for the decision...

Can you tell me when you are able to check online about the status? Cuz I check online and it can not been found in case.

how many days you all (approveled )see your status before you got the mail?? one week before??


and , if I get approval, Can I transfer to another state university or college for study? or I need to wait one year until I get my greencard ??

Your post is very difficult to figure out. You are an F-1 student and applied for asylum? You are also STILL attending classes and truly want to complete your education?

Many students get denied asylum. SOME do get granted asylum but IF there is no particularly strong reason why you cannot maintain your studies through completion that you would be likely to even need asylum because the system is geared towards keeping the best educated folks here legally through an employment-based immigration route.

You have not provided any information in this post about the country conditions that you might be fleeing or the changed country conditions that would prevent you from returning home. In order to get the student visa you had to make the case that you would return home in the first place. Either you lied, there has been a drastic change back home, or you are making a weak claim.

What was the drastic change? Has there been a revolution or natural disaster? The really big ones have been covered through TPS and DED status.

lol that was a funny reply to BigJoe's rare off topic post...you would be able to check your status online once they approve your asylum. Some people on this forum saw the status changed online before they received approvals in mail. And yes once you are granted, you can transfer to any school in the country and you're eligible to receive Pell Grants if otherwise qualified.

You will be able to check the status online as soon as the asylum office sends an automatic request to CLAIMS3 system to issue EAD category (A05). This happens on the same day they issue the approval letter/ I-94.

You can transfer to any university or college in the United States if you are granted asylum. You will have the same benefits as a green card holders / U.S citizens when it comes to federal / state financial aids or classes fees.

Remember to go to SS office to update your records and get unrestricted SS cards if you get approved. You should go to SS office as soon as you get your EAD category (A05).
