CSC I-485 Filing- May to Dec 2005 Tracking

My case got transferred on 4/7/2006 and I got interview notice on 5/1/2006. and the interview will take place on June 7 2006.
Do you have any idea why your case got transferred to local office?

Name Check Email

Hello GP111,
What is the email id for CSC ? My case is transferred to TSC, so do i have to send email to TSC or CSC ?

Can anyone provide email id for CSC as well as TSC ? Also what would be the email draft content template ?

Thanks

FIRST THING.. ITS NOT NAME CHECK STATUS EMAIL.

csc-xii.485@dhs.gov is for CSC I-485 status information. TSC or any other Service center do not have any such email ID so you have to call them on Customer Service Phone Number ( 1-800-375-5283).

Thanks GP111,

What option need to select to know about the status of 140 as well as FBI name check for 485.

I called couple of time. All time, I recieved automated answer for both cases. I like to speak to someone and get the idea of my case at TSC.

Thanks

Name Check!!!

I've been busy and not gotten to the forum in a few weeks now. Anyways, good to know that many of you have got your green cards and some of you are on the path to get one soon.
For people like me, don't know where the end of the tunnel is yet??? I did contact my congressman and initiated a congressional inquiry on 30th March and usually FBI responds to congressional inquiries within 4 weeks but it has not happened in my case. So the waiting game continues..
Congrats GP111, you should be seeing the approval msg soon. It is well deserved..

May I know how you contacted the local congressman? I mean details like was it mail, a phone call, did the attorney help with wording? stuff like that... I guess I need to do the same thing. My RD is 04/08 and it's been pending namecheck. Your comments are appreciated.

gp, cong on your approval. I appreciate your feedback on this. Thanks.

I haven't got approval yet !! Thanks for your wishes though :) Waited for so long already, 30 days does not sound that bad :D

You can either Call Congressman / Senator office or send them a letter/fax. Just include all your I-485 details.

wow! SJ office is quick! Don't know what I should do to speed the interview waiting process...should I schedule an infopass? gp111, gurus...any suggestion?
My attorney and I both think it is because I got married several weeks before I filed 140/485 and brought my hubby into the case. As for the job, I couldn't think of there's any problem. I stayed in the same company in the past 5 yrs and salary now is far above the amount stated in my LC.

Yeah, ,may be they want to double check the validity of Marriage. Go with marriage cert, pictures, other docs, joint bank account info, joint lease or joint utility bills etc etc.

GP

What does your online case status check says currently for I-485

Does it says they have recieved FP review details and is under process ??

In my case still it states recieved date and under process but where as all members of my family case they have recieved FP review details and under adjudication.

Thanks

Thanks! gp111,

Mine (& my spouses) status is still standard message "received on blah blah..".. I strongly believe online status update in not at all accurate.

I am not sure if infopass would help. Wait for Inverview schedule for few weeks first.

This is what is says for my wife's case:
"Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on September 29, 2005. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 270 and 300 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."

And this is what it says for my case:
"On November 10, 2005, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."

The LUD on my wife's case is Nov, 04 and the LUD on my case is Nov, 10. Nov 03 is when we had our FP done together. Clearly the status message is not even uptodate with the LUD. The LUD too may not be correct, so just ignore it.

By the way anyone had an idea what "results of fingerprint review" means??

The reverse is true in our case
FP's were done on same day for entire family
Family members cases states FP Review have recieved
My case still in recived in state.
LUD's changed for all cases same day after FP's were done.

I see a light in your case since your review has been recievd and derivative members are adjudicated based on your case. Currently they are processing PD May-June 2002 and your time will come soon.

GP111/Gurus your suggestion please

I concurrently filed my case with CSC ND:10/07/2005,EB2(PD:may,2002).All the papers got transfered to TSC on 03/23/2006.I want to find out whether i cleared Background/Name check.I completed code 3 on 10/30/2005.is there a way to contact USCIS in this regard when 140 is pending? Your inputs are appreciated.

According to the fact sheet posted earlier in the forum, USCIS says:

"...Less than one percent of cases subject to an FBI name check remain pending longer than six months. Some of these cases involve complex, highly sensitive information and cannot be resolved quickly. Even after FBI has provided an initial response to USCIS concerning a match, the name check is not complete until full information is obtained and eligibility issues arising from it are resolved..."

That's bulxxxxt! If these forums are any indication, there are a hell of lot more than 1% pending namecheck...

I-485: RD 08/04 ND 08/05 pending namecheck

You mean I still have friends left :) ?

Well, I am now officially stuck in name check. Due to bimodal distribution of name check wait times ( <6 months or > 2yrs) , I'm in for a long long wait. Congrats to all the Permanent Residents and congrats in advance to all the about to be be Permanent Residents.

When you get those coveted emails and the cards, please say a prayer or two for an unfortunate fellow desi. Only your prayers can now save me.

Qwerty, my friend....worry not ! I am with you. Look at it this way...We are the Chosen Ones !!.

As far as this GC thingie goes, I have had the luck of the Scrat chasing the evasive acorn in Ice Age.

First my HR sat on my LC application for 6 months while I was wrongly under the impression that my GC process had already started. Then later..just when the time came for DOL to pick up my LC application for processing....the good folks at DOL decided it was the auspicious month to start sending all LCs to the Backlog centers...so my LC which should have been cleared that month.....instead sat in Dallas for an additional one and half years.

And now ..when I began to entertain hopes of the ordeal finally getting over...ofcourse comes the news I am in the name check.

Who knows...may be after waiting in Name check for next 2 years...the FBI will also open Backlog elimination centres and my case would be routed there for a further 2-3 years...

All I can say is that I have a new found respect for the Babus in Govt offices in India. At least they do some work between the paan chewing and chai-samosa sessions.
