WAC-02-169-50***
RD 04/24/2002

FP 06/11/2003!? -- Did not get FP notice for a year, which turned out to be a good thing. No RFE!!! No 2nd FP(not needed). Approved on May 11th.

I did a written inquiry into incorrect online status once and also filed for 2nd AP/EAD on April 29th. I guess that could trigger the approval. Been on this forum for a while since ciba and PCee. Thanks to them and of course Rajiv, SillyMan and Kashmir. I guess there is hope for everyone these days.

#43, sree2003, Stamping experience in LA. Please help.

Hi,

We received our I-485 approval notices from our attorney on friday(May 14). Today morning we went to LA office for stamping, but was told by the security that we need to make an appointment online using INFOPASS.
We tried to make an appointment using infopass, but could not find any option related to green card stamping. Is it necessary to get an appointment for stamping. Please let us know which option to select in the INFOPASS.

Thanks,

#45, hussein, wac020625**** & WAC03015**** Approved

On Friday May 14th in the afternoon, Checked the mail and noticed an envelop from USCIS, so I held my breath, opened it looked at the form that says Notice Of Action I-797C Form.
Font was very small to read or maybe I was too dizzy and disoriented but the magic words, Your application has been approved.

Saturday Night also, checked the mail and yes My wife's Notice stating that it has been approved.

The original copies has been sent to the lawyer. The form asking for pictures and the sort and listed hours of operation of the SF Office.

The Weird thing still is that the on-line message still hasn't changed but the last updated date moved from the 6th of May to 12th of may which is when we received the mail.

Now this message is for to all the people that come to this wonderful website:
It is because of the effort of the people that participated in the faxes e-mails inquiries to sentors and congressmen & women that resulted in the movement for adjucating I-485 cases in specific & other immigration related documents in general. that is why I got approved and that is why you all will with due time.

Thanks to the creators of this portal (Rajiv) and thanks to the few (140_takes_forver & Kashmir) to their continuous support & help.

The only advice: Patience.

Be well & Good Luck

WAC-O2-091-XXXXX
RD: 1/17/02
ND: 1/22/02
First FP Done: 6/02 (approx)

RFE: 4/7/04
Second FP notice: 4/11/04
Email Approval notification on 5/7
Received notification in USPS mail 5/12
Stamped 5/17

Stamping:

Went to San Jose office at 8:00; entered the "Appointments" line. Security guy made a remark that we did not have an appointment, but asked us to wait. In a few minutes went inside -- Security kicked me out because of Camera Phone. Dumped camera in car and reentered.

Got number; waited for about 4 1/2 hours. IIO took EAD, Parole, I-94, Approval and New Passport. After about 15 minutes we got the stamped passport back. Came out at about 1:30

Very simple rubber stamp compared to the nice looking H1-B we are used to.

Good luck!

#49, yes2003, wac03-104 approved. Not concurrent filing

I would like to share my information to you guys and thank all of you for help
from this forum. It did help me get through the tough time.

I got the email update from USCIS that both mine and my husband's cases have been approved on May 17. The follwoing is the details:

Wac03-104 (Not concurrent filing, EB1)
RD Feb/2003
ND Apr/2003
FP Apr/2003
Until yesterday, the web site status was still: received finger print and pending review.

NO RFE and NO 2nd FP.

I signed up on the online status update in April (last month), and I saw the last update date was 2/18/04. I was thinking that maybe they were working on my file. Last week I asked my lawyer to inquiry about my status since it was always on pending review on fingerpring. And then my laywer told me that INS told her that my file was with an officer. She called on 5/10 and the website updated on 5/11.

One of my friend also got approved today (Oct/2002, concurrently filing)

I am really grateful to get a lot of info from this forum. Thank you very much again

#50, BrazilNut, WAC-03-153 case approved

I received an e-mail from USCIS stating that my case, WAC-03-153, was approved yesterday (05/18/2004). Online case status reflects that as well.

I fell some sort of mixed feelings right now. I am happy for having the case approved but guilty at the same time for all the others that still waiting, old-timers and newcomers.

Details about my case:

EB1, Concurrently filling, no RFE
I-485: RD: 04/18/2003, ND: 04/21/2003, AD: 05/18/2004 - WAC-03-153
I-140: RD & ND: 02/20/2003, AD: 07/02/2003 – WAC-03-107
1 iEAD and 1 EAD
2 APs
1 FP: 03/31/04

I am grateful for the support that this community has been offering during this process.. I just hope that our colleagues waiting longer in the line will have their cases approved soon.

Thanks to all the dedicated volunteers that keep this Forum going and taking some unnecessary abuse. Few names: Kashmir, 140 Takes 4 Ever, ND022202 among many others.

Let’s find out what is next.

Warm regards!

BrazilNut

I had a put a post in march about the problems with my husbands birthcertificate where is passport had 1 name, and a BC had a completely differnent name & we got a RFE from CSC about submitting a proper BC.
Using everyone's good suggestions out here, we tried getting a corrected BC from BMC "Bombay/Mumbai" [dont want to get into the same controversy as last time]. It was tough as the original records in their books was wrong. AFter a lot of trouble, getting a lot of people involved & some money we got the right certificate & replied to the RFE on Apr 12. We had received the RFE on Mar 2.
We got his approval on Apr 22.
He had to go for stamping to San Jose INS but we are here in atlanta since a yr for my studies & we still maintain a california address. He couldnt go to california for stamping due to health reasons, so we walked into Atlanta INS this monday, despite talking to a customer service repres. at the call center who said u have to go to whichever place the notice specifies.
We said what the hell, we'll try..
Reached the office at 9.30 am. The officer issuing tokens said no problem, u can get stamping here, confirmed with his supervisor, was given a no. & told to wait. At 10 reached an officer who looked at the notice & said no, go to california.
But my husband told her that ur supervisor said no problems. SHe said let me check, went back, came back & did the stamping. Said we would receive his card at the california address. The whole process was no more than 45 mins.

I must say we are relieved, & are now waiting for my approval.

#53, button, !!!!!Button is Approved(02062)!!!!!

Finally approved!!!. It took me 4 years for the whole process. What a relief... Got approval notices for me and family from my old attorney. Stamping experience went smooth in Seattle office - the officers were very polite. Here is the info:

WAC# - 02062xxxxx
RD: 12/11/01
ND: 12/13/01
FP1: 01/31/02

AC21(1): 06/2003 (did not inform USCIS)
AC21(2): 03/2004 (AC21 letter sent with RFE1)

RFE1: 03/2004, EVL, W2 3 years, AC21
FP2: 04/2004
RFE2: 04/2004, GC photos (I don't know what for???)

Approved (ND): 05/11/04

I cannot believe that I will not scan the USCIS web site any more to get the status of my day (062) Good luck to everyone and speedy approvals. I hope that USCIS will never get stuck again as it was an year ago. These were horrible days for all the long waiters after WAC0230 (this is where former INS stopped processing our cases). I will probably continue visiting this wonderful forum for some time just because I am so used to it.

GOOD LUCK!!!

#55, bwkim ,Oct 2002 case approved

Yes, I'm one of the lucky guys. But, I waited for more
than 18 months for my LC.

It took me almost 2 months since USCIS got my response
to the RFE. It was really tough to wait for the approval
for the last 8 weeks.

Good luck to the other guys, too.
