Hi, All,

I was silent reader of this fourm from past 3 years.

I just received e-mail from USCIS my I-485 has been approved on June 14th and online status also updated.

Just like everyone I was checking status many number of times a day.

Good luck to everyone. This is a great fourm and thanks to Rajiv and members.

Details:

RD: 28th Feb 2002
ND: 7th March 2002
WAC: WAC-02-128-5XXXXX
1st FP: April 2002
2nd FP: Jan 2004
No RFE

Approved, WAC-02-169-5***** (ND: April, 24, 2002)

Hi Guys:
Finally it’s my turn to post good news:

My I-485 is approved just now (I check it 10 times in a day)

Details:
Case type: I-485, EB1 (outstanding professor and researcher)
WAC-02-169-5******
Notice Date: April 24, 2002
FP (first) December 2002 (after FP1, case status did not show it for several months, so sent a fax to BCIS (as known that time), they scheduled second FP)

FP2 (second), May 2003

I started from J1 (1996)-to-H1 (1999)-to-I-140(2000)-to-I-485(2002)

The hardest thing was to get the waiver of 2-year home residency requirement from Government of India, UP government and passport office, Lucknow (this is associated with J1 visa). Lucknow passport officer wanted a bottle of Viagra, and Home secretary in Lucknow wanted $1000 in US currency as bribes. If any one wants help in this regard, e-mail me saturn_143@yahoo.com.

I-485 is nothing with respect to that. My attorney left practice few months after filing I-485 (she got married and moved to different state) and I took over the case myself

I have been visitor of this forum from last two years, and posted few times.

Finally I would like to thank to Rajiv, and several volunteers who maintain this forum. It provides a hope and great information to all immigrants.

My wife’s I-485 (derivative beneficiary) is not yet approved (RD-April 24, 2002). Her FP are expired at the moment. I am also expecting RFE in her case as she did not go through medical at the time of filing I-485 (she was pregnant). She may have to undergo medical and FP again.

I wish all the best to you guys….

WAC 03-046 Approved. AC21 case

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wanted to let you all know that my and my wife's I-485 petitions have been APPROVED.

** I BELIEVE my APPROVAL to be a *MIRACLE*. Read my case details below **

My lawyer received the approval notice in mail today
and emailed me the scanned .pdf versions of the approval notices.

My WAC no. is WAC 03-046 XXXXX
RD is Oct 29, 2002.

2nd FP done on May 14th 2004.
Online status showed that Last updated date changed for my I-485 case on 06/14/2004
Again, Online status showed that Last updated date changed for my AND my wife's I-485 cases on 06/15/2004

I was pensively waiting for the result of my I-485 petition for the last 2 days.
Lawyer called me around noon and informed me about our APPROVALS
and then emailed me the scanned .pdf versions of the approval notices.

Here are details regarding my case.
http://boards.immigrationportal.com...threadid=125058

I applied my I-140 and I-485 concurrently in Oct 2002 through Company A.
I got an RFE for my I-140 in June 2003(asking for experience letter). Replied to this RFE in July 2003.

Company A laid me off in May 2003(> 180 days after I-485 RD)
I joined company B(startup) in May 2003. I then joined company C(stable company) in Sep 2003.

I got an RFE for my I-485 in March 2004(usual EVL, 3 yrs tax returns, W-2's etc). Lawyer replied to this RFE this week stating that I will be using AC21 portability and another letter stating my intent to no longer work for company A and continue full time employment with company C.
I-140 approved in April 2004.

My case and my wife's case are approved yesterday. This morning I got the auto-email notification from USCIS.

Our notice date is 1/7/2002, the case number is 02-079-5xxxx

Witnessing my friends' case got approved in early March, I got anxious and called up USCIS, a friendly female IIO listened to my concern and promised issuing an internal enquiry for our case. Two weeks later we received RFE asking for regular stuff as well as physical address evidence (we moved after filing I-485).

Two weeks after RFE was received by USICS, our case got approved.

Two months ago I received a letter from DHS reminding us of sending AR-11, we sent it within one week after we moved, so I was scared, thinking AR-11 might have been lost by post office and I didn't have delivery notice. But finally it turns out to be OK.

Now I'm thinking about a vacation, maybe looking for a better paid job :)

Hi Fellas,

Just got an email for my AOS approval. here are my case details.

140/485/AP/EAD applied in 12/09/2002

FP completed on 03/19/2003
RFE on I-140 recd and replied 03/2003 ( copy of experience letter)
2nd RFE on I-140 recd/replied 07/2003 (W2 and tax returns for last three years)

I140/AP/EAD approved on 09/28/2003

EAD/AP renewal applied on Apr 2, 2004

Sent a fax enquiry on May 25 for I485 asking them to approve it beacuse it's a concurrently filed case and fingerprint results are still valid.

LUD for I485 changed on May 27th

AP renewal approved on May 28th

I485 for both me and spouse approved on June 15th, 2004

So my I-485 was approved 4 days b4 fingerprints were going to expire.

I'll suggest all those who have filed concurrently and their fingerprints are valid to send a fax enquiry.

Thanks a lot to all those people who post on this message board and specially to 'Lusiks', whose post inspired me to send a fax enquiry.

Thanks
-Ramesh

i485 fast approval however looks like based on 140 priority date

i140 filed march 2003 eb1
i140 may 2004

485 WAC-04-111-4
Notice Date March 2004 (so filed before 140 was approved, hence counts as concurrent filing)
1st FP April 2004
Approved June 6 2004
NO RFE
Approval Status (Web Site) Changed - not happened
Stamped in SF - 2 minute job
waiting for plastic card, official in SF told me can take up to a year (or longer)
however looks like it won't be that bad.

WAC02-163-50XXX: Approved and Stamped at SJC

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EB3, AC21, no RFE
WAC-02-163-50XXX
Receipt date: 4/17/02
AD: 6/07/04
Stamped: 6/16/04 at SJC

This is my first post here, and I was a casual visitor to this forum. However, I feel kind of obligated to make this post, as during this long march, I got so many tips from the posts in this great forum. Don't know who specifically should I thank for, but just want to use this simple "THANK YOU" to all those folks that contribute and share!

Here are some details:

1. AC21 case, did a portability. Since the new job 's salary is 10% lower than that in LC, lawyer didn't put the number in the letter to USCIS. same duty though. Hope my case approval will ease those who concern about this condition.

2. No RFE.

3. PP Stamped today at SJC:
a. got there about 6:40AM
b. saw 20+ in the appointment line already, with more than 150, if not more, on the other line. I proceeded to the appointment line.
c. the security guy first let in all those who really has an appointment first. I got in at 7:30AM
d. got called at 8:50AM. officer asked for approval notice, all EADs/APs, and I-94, all originals only. no need copies.
e. out: 9:00AM: stamped

I hope the above could be of help to folks who are still anxiously waiting. My 2 cents: be a bit more patient, you are almost there.

Good lucks!
