If you see any CSC I-485 approval any where on this board please post it to this thread with all the info (if it is not already posted to this thread). Please follow below guidelines while posting.
1. In the subject line, give it running serial number, member name (that got approved), and the subject line.
2. Entire text of their approval message (cut and paste including headers)
3. Please also provide a Link to that aproval thead/post (it helps a lot in maintaining summary as well as users can goto that thread to ask questions).


Also refrain from any other discussion (apart from just posting CSC I-485 approvals) in this thread so that we can keep it clean.

My wife's RFE(???) is on its way but thats far lesser worry now..

It has been a long journey, that came to a happy ending. This forum has been a great help to us. I could not thank members like Kashmir, 140_for_ever and ofcourse Rajiv enough for their immense contribution. Hang on all old timers there is definetely light at the end of the tunnel. You guys are almost there and I wish everyone his/her well deserved approval soon.

Surprisingly for me I just only feel exhausted that this long journey is over now. Elation may come later....off to celebrate a very memorable 4th July !! Happy holidays every one..... :D :D :D

For those who still remember my earlier posted snowwhite fairytale, I am very happy to announce that it finally comes to a good ending.

I received the notice through regular mail on 07/03, bringing in an undescribable relief for this otherwise one-more-day-before-USCIS-back-to-work long weekend.
With this document, snowwhite doesnot have to be afraid of the owner of the milking farm. As a matter of fact, snowwhite doesnot even have to milk cow for a living. The real happy story starts right now.
Here, I'd like to thank all those who spend their spare time to work on this forum, especially Kashmir, 140-for-ever, and that old silly-man. I think if one of these community workers got to be our governor (cannot become the president for some legal constraints), California would be in a better shape than today.
For those who got approved like me, I want to congratulate everyone on his/her remarkable achievement. For those who are still looking for that first daylight to break out from the eastern sky, I want to encourage you to keep up the hope for that day will come and you just want to be happy and health so that you can fully enjoy the wonderful moment.

7 years after starting this fuckin process of getting a GC and almost 12 years in the US, finally got approved (wac 02-186) on June 30th.

Filed LC with Company A, lawyer M in state X (TSC), state dept of labor lost the file after it was resubmitted by lawyer M since he made a mistake on the 1st one. Moved to state Y with company B lawyer N and decided to start the process all over again. 9 months into employment with company B, LC from company A got approved in state X. Rejoined company A in state Y with lawyer O and applied for 140. Applied for Consular Procecssing, but National Visa Center lost my file! Lawyer O suggested attorney certified CP, but home consulate rejected their request after 4 months. Then filed AOS in May of '02. Confused yet?

Never got first FP till April '03 which worked in my favor. My 1st FP expires on the 11th of this month and only reason I think I got approved now. A friendly fax reminder to CSC :) also helped although they initially told me to fuck off!

Last update was 6/8/04

This has been a long trip for me.

Labour filed April 1998 - My lawyer screwed up and it finally got approved in 2002 - after I changed lawyers.

I got the e-mail message this morning that my case has been approved. No RFE, 2nd FP on 15Th June 2004. WAC 02 119. Same job throughout. Update date changed 4 dates back.

Although my wife's status changed to RFE generated. I have to wait and see what this RFE is all about. Did anyone has a similar experience?
Also my wife is travelling to India next week. I have a current AP and I guess that's all I need for her even she has a RFE generated in her case. She will be in India for couple of months. So may be she will get approved in the meanwhile. Please advice if that's a concern.

Hi,

I was checking email on the evening of Independance day and I received emails from USCIS for the first time. (no email for 2nd FP sent/received no LUD change, no status change so far.... my case status was showing....
Application was received on April 3, 2002.... it takes 730 days for prcessing....).

My wife's case's LUD was changed to 6/22, 6/23, 6/24 and now 7/03...

And the email brought the news of independance... also the status on the website changed to
"This case has been approved. On June 30, 2004, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283."

Eventhough the case was approved on jun 30, web status was updated on 07/03 and also the email was sent on 07/03....

I also chencked my mail box and received physical approval notice for me and my wife.

I got a courtesy copy of the approval notice and the company lawyers received the proper approval notice and will mail it to me this week. Plan to go for stamping sometime next week. The ADIT instructions asked for photos too.

The online status says something silly like:
"On June 27, 2004, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing. It is taking between 730 and 730 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."

It's been a long wait, 4.5 years with the same company and work was pretty bad at times. Thanks to all the people who make this forum such an excellent resource and form of support, Rajive Khanna, Kashmir, 140_takes_forever, goodsaint, and others who've provided advice to my questions along the way. I've donated to the portal before and shall do so after stamping, and on an on-going basis I think over the years. We immigrants need to fight for better rights.

Sent Fax last week, asking about FP2, as the expiry date on FP1 was July 23rd, 2004.
I must thank all the folks who suggested the fax concept. I would not have got this piece, had it not been for the folks on this forum
