Could not have interview-File has not come

Today I was scheduled for interview at Washington DC office(Fairfax).When went there to my surprise they told the interview can not happen because my file has not yet come.
Please let me know if anybody else has similar experience.

I called the 1-800 number and was told that they have no idea.The local office officer who told me about the file not coming also does not have any idea where the file could be.
Who else can tell us about the where abouts of the file?

You can do an Infopass first and ask them to open a service request if they still can't find file.

Can you please tell me what could be that?I do not have anything but few minor traffic violations in last ten years.I have gone out of country only for two days in last ten years.And also please advise what to do next.Thanks in advance.

Case inquiry basically is a request to look into status of your application. Did you ask at Infopass when you should expect new interview to be scheduled?

Yes.I did.But he said that he wishes to tell but can not.
I asked him if further review means more background check.He said may be.He was very vague in replies.That is the reason I am upset.

Now that your file is at the DO, give them 30 days . Hopefully they will schedule your interview by then. If not, time for another infopass.

Sorry to bother you.Do you think at this stage I may assume that the background check and name check are cleared.Though I have no negative things I am a bit concerned about getting stuck.
