My son is 7 years old. He got his FP notice a few days after us. His was Code 2 (just thumbs). Ours was Code 3 (all ten fingers).

His was for another day but we took him with us and they took his as well.

I called my attorney and asked about FP for him since I thought it was only for 14 years and up. They said I was right and that USCIS had sent in error. Clearly that was not the case.

I have heard also of approvals and then requesting children to go after the approval.

I applied for EAD on End of October with no FP Code2 till now?

No Code 2 for us. Our EADs were produced with no FP.

Hi All,
My Case is approved today 12/21/06. My wife case is still pending aplied with me as my dependent I pray she will get approved too. Rest of all details are in NSC tracker.

This forum is very helpful and JUST WATCHING appreciate your effort to keep everything together.

Well - either you are a few weeks away or you are stuck in name check.

While processing dates have been somewhat of an indicator, approval trends after I-140 have been easier to detect.

I have seen I-485 approvals 3-4 weeks after I-140 approval if everything else is good (aka not stuck in name check).

So you can either give it a couple more weeks based on your I-140 approval and see if you get your I-485 approval, or...

you can wait for a couple more processing reports - which i think will come out mid January (although always hard to guess). If they keep at the same pace they will be beyond 30 days of your ND and then you can open a service request, or....

what i would do, log on right now, get an InfoPass and go find out if your case is stuck in name check. If it isn't then I would go buy champagne and get ready because you can't get any closer than that!

If it is stuck in name check, well then you are 2 weeks - 2 years away....

Birth Certificate Questions..........

My birth certificate states that

Date of reporting: same month different day as of my BD.
Issue date: is 10 years later as 2nd copy.

copy of birth certificate received as duplicate 10 years later.

Do you guys think that might be a problem and they will ask for more record?

what is ur case details? when u applied 485? which country? eb-2or 3? when namechekc got cleared?

A question about namecheck. Is it something which is initiated on receipt of 485 application ?

After calling NSC and asking specifically about this I was told "it looks like this is OK" . Now name check would also be OK if it was NOT even initiated. So I am not sure where I stand.

It is frustrating to scrape for this information. A good online status update would help but that is still a luxury.

I don’t have any LUD for my I-485 case

I have a question. I don’t have any LUD for my I-485 case(RD is 05/15/2006 concurrently with I-140) except the one after FP (06/08/2006), I expected to see some LUD after my I-140 was approved on 11/20/06
But nothing. I see a lot of people see changes of LUD on their cases that may suggested the cases were “touched” but not in my case. What can it mean? Should I see LUD after I140 approval?
