Is same day oath offered in Buffalo, New York

Different people on this forum have different experiences with OATH process... Some are lucky to get OATH on the same day as their interview others have to wait for couple of months before they are schduled to attend OATH ceremony..

How to know before the interview what kind I am going to have? Whether on the same date or couple of months later?..

Is it based on the center? Or it is random.. or there is some logic to it??

If it is center based, than is there a way for me to know what is the OATH process at my center (Buffalo, NY)..

If anyone can post their experiences with the interview and OATH at Buffalo, NY will be great?

This is the standard blurb they have posted:

If you want to know the status of a case that is pending at this office, you may call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If your case is outside of our normal processing time, as shown on the uscis.gov web site, a customer service representative will ask USCIS to research your case. You will receive a case status update via phone, email, or written correspondence.

Status lines are available for inquiries regarding naturalization, adjustment of status, and adoption cases that are pending at the Buffalo Field Office:

-Natualization (N-400), 716-843-7900 (Option 2) - Tuesdays from 8:00am to 11:00 am.

HOWEVER, you might try an e-mail to: USCIS-NER-Community-Relations@dhs.gov [they can forward it to the local office]

Thanks BigJoe5, Just to have a better understanding..

By calling at this number at Buffalo, NY:
-Natualization (N-400), 716-843-7900 (Option 2) - Tuesdays from 8:00am to 11:00 am -
they will be able to tell me whether my oath ceremony will be on the same date as interview or whether I will be schduled on a future date couple of months later???

Is this possible?

I guess you have not had your interview yet? I doubt they will tell you when they might schedule your oath ceremony, if you have not had your interview yet. Much depends on how your interview goes. In some cases they put the case "on hold", request for evidence, etc. Sometimes there are lines for oath, so they might give you an approval letter, but still schedule your oath in a month or so. My friends were recently waiting for an oath ceremony for two months, because there is reconstruction in the Court House building, where oath ceremonies take place: all cases were delayed because of this.

It is a combination of location and case-by-case basis.

Some locations never give your oath on the same day as the interview.

Some locations give the oath on the same day IF your case is approved right after the interview, and if the interview was completed early enough in the day.

You won't be able to find out ahead of time that you specifically will get the oath on the same day. But you can find out if your location generally offers same-day oath. Change the title of the thread to something like "Is same day oath offered in Buffalo, New York".
