Concurrent Filing - Using Cross Chargeability

What's this POJ method? I tried to call TSC and it keeps saying I am entering a wrong number.... i.e. the receipt number on my 485 after SRC-xx-xx-xxxxx are not enough. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Hi dojidesi
Here is the POJ method
POJ technique:
Dial National customer service number:
1-800-375-5283---select 1—select 2—select 2—select 6—select 1—enter your SRC number—select 1 to confirm receipt number---select 3—and select 4 to speak to a TSC representative.
All the best.

If you search this thread, you will come across the POJ method (POJ refers to Prince of Jungle, who used this method to speak to a rep). I am copying the method here from a previous post

Call 1-800-375-5283
Press 1
Press 2
Press 2
Press 6
Press 1
Now enter your receipt number - SRC + the numerical case #
press 1 (now listen to the case update info....)
press 3
press 4

I've noticed that the last option may not always be true depending on where your call gets routed to. So listen to the messages after the case updates.
Hope this helps.

Good news from my end. Both me and my spouse have been approved for green.:)

Congrats WW,

Enjoy ur freedom. Sorry for being so late. My daughter is taking up all my time.

Wife had an LUD today, with no change in message. A couple of days back got a reply from USCIS in response to my Enq. initiated in the beg of Jan. The letter was dated 14th Feb. and it said that my wife's case still had an open "background check" and to wait 6 months.

Hope this LUD means some thing good.

use ur spouse's birth place and ur application can be charged to ROW. You save a lot of time that way. Advice is to use a good lawyer to file the necessary paperwork to charge ur application to ROW using ur wife's birth place. N e lawyer telling u it can not be done has his own agenda i suppose.

After Submitting response to RFE i got a Soft LUD today(3/6/08). But no LUD on my wife's case , is it normal?

All this wait is killing me...............

Hi guys,

Just checked on the USCIS website for the status of my case today...it says "Card Production Ordered". Does that mean that my long journey is over? Too hard to believe.

Good luck to all of you.

Rania, It seems like an approval. Could you post your details.... PD etc

Hi...

I got an RFE for Employment and Birth Certificates in December or late november. We replied promptly and the website shows the following status.

"Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.
On December 21, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done"

Can someone please tell me what it means...are they going to decide my 485 soon...? Which seems improbable as i am in EB2 and retrogressed (PD April 2003). I filed for 485 in June of 2007.

Greatly appreciate any response.

Thanks,

I had the same RFE on Oct 26 2007 and replied to it and that was the last LUD (on 11/07/07) I saw on my case since. So I think that means very little. I have waited for the 60 days and called them back. They asked me to wait for 45 days and then I got a standard "extended review process" letter by mail maybe in 30 days. This was customer serivce and not the TSC IO or anything. Such a bad use of resources. Why even do it if it means nothing.

Hi MMU,

Looks like our I-485 cases are close together in terms of filing dates and FP dates as well. See my signature below. Let's hope for some good news soon.

I am not sure if it is a accurate indication of whats going on but there have been "NO" approvals logged on trackitt.com for the 6th It is pretty unnerving...... whats up?????. Are they done till April 1 ( the new quarter)

UMASS what Service Center are you at , T or N?

Not sure how authentic this site is either. It seems too good to be true.
http://www.immigrationwatch.com/uscis-most-recent-approvals.html

Anyone heard about any case being "correct" from it? Maybe recent approvals can check their case information and see if it is correct. Would be of great help if it is.

Wife just got off the phone using the POJ method.

News was as follows:

Her name check cleared.
I am stuck in name check.
The guy was very polite and flagged us for cross chargeability and sent a request, since were not done so initially. He also said counting 180 days starting last October when the name check started, my name check should be deemed cleared following the new memo to be followed.

So I guess all is on schedule as of now.

Hi dojidesi
It seems that even if we apply using CC they dont take it in to consideration
Did you called anytme before to check wether your case was accepted under CC?
Good luck with your case it seems Green is around the corner:)

This is the first time I called them, since I wanted to knock on their door slightly prior to processing dates approaching the time we filed our 485's. But I made wife call from the perspective that she would be at the receiving end if cross-chargeability was not used. I guess if I called, my luck would be such that I would be given the cold treatment for circumventing the law and exploiting my wife

Very interesting doji. I have already called NSC a couple of times and spoken to an IO. I have asked them if our cases have been filed under CC. Every time I get the same response that they do not have that information. I have been recommended twice to get an Infopass apptmt to check if our cases have been filed under CC. I dont see how an IO at an office will have any different information than what an IO has over at the processing centers. i have scheduled an Infopass for next week, but am contemplating if its gonna do any good.
My spouse called last year to be told that her name check has been cleared So my background check is the only thing thats pending. Oh well...
