pururwa,

there are just a handful of us collectively from all service centers in this CC thread.. I don't think there would be a significant no. of CC filers specific to any SC at a particular timeframe.

What you can do is start a new thread for non-retro filers from NSC..as our cases are being handled as non-retro cases.. This would give you a rough idea of when your application would be picked up..

Pururwa, does your 485 receipt indicate NSC? Or have the receipts been issued from the VSC and then the cases were sent to the NSC?

I will probably start a new thread but was just wondering if there was anybody on this forum with a LIN# (NSC filing).

Mine was filed with NSC and I have a LIN# which indicates that NSC is going to process my case.

I see. I guess the VSC kept some applications filed after April...I have an EAC number...I think thats because my RD is end of March.
 
Been checking other forums and looks like there are very few 485 VSC approvals.. Almost at the rate of one a week.. Wonder what's going on..

Hi Overboard,
This is intriguing....I'm trying to look on the positive side that not everyone who have been getting 485 approvals are contributing to the message boards. No change in LUDs for a while though, but fingers crossed....

In this forum, there were several this week.. but all were long pending cases..

Hey folks

I see a LUD update of 06/08 on my 485 application(s)....BUT....it might be nothing since I believe this might be because of the address change I recorded for those applications a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah i hope they picked it to approve it.. If i remember ur dates are a couple of wks before ours, so you might just be leading the whole team to approval.. ;)

I hope so, but I'm pretty sure its the address change taking effect into their systems.
Either that, or they moved my file to another desk to make room for applications marked 'radd', 'overboard', and 'dbins01'

Hi dbins...off the top of my head, I believe it goes RD: 03/21 (second time they sent it to VSC), ND: 04/07...I believe the PD is Sept 2005
 
How did you hear about CC

Hey folks,

Now that we're pretty much all in the waiting game, I figured it'd be a good time to ask..how did you all first hear about the cross chargeability?
 
A friend born in Iran was getting through everything really quick and having brought this up with a colleague of mine, he went 'you can do it too since your wife was born in Bahrain.' I owe him a lunch - a big one !
 
My wife found out that she could apply for the GC lottery thanks to her birth in Africa. We tried the lottery but no luck, then this whole retrogression happened and I wondered if the same condn will apply.. and here we are...so close yet so far...

Read a meno from Mr. Kanna in this forum in Sept'05.. It was after the Oct bulletin with the retro news was released.. In his meno he talked about CC and and used an example with wife's COB - Singapore ;) to illustrate his point...

Any then started googling, checking with several lawyers including Mr. Kanna..,
and finally started this thread to learn more from pioneers.
