I have not applied for EAD and AP.

My I-140 petition has been approved yesterday according to online system of INS. This is a great news to me and my family.

Folks, How are you guys doing,

There are lot of people who can project immigration approval very well. My EAD get approved two days back. When my AP might get approved? I applied both of them at the same time.

Post Office Registration

Hi Parshu,

Is your wife's last name different than yours?
I had a similar issue with the mails for my wife.

After talking to Post Office delivery supervisor I came to know
that you have to give all last names that you get mail to your
apartment to the mail carrier who delivers mail to your apartment.
He will put a sticker with the last names on the mailbox.(And
they even carry a list of all last names against each address )

One additional possibility (according to him) is that when the
substitute mail carrier comes for delivery instead of the regular
person sometimes by mistake mail will be sent back.

Make sure you the all last names posted at the mailbox.

Hi all,

As Sept13 has said...the problem was my wife's last name is differnet than mine...and now...after we informed the post office they had asked me to put a sticker with the names..and also they put a sticker of last names on the mailbox.

thats abt it..but it was a pain in the neck....
the EAD is re-mailed on jan 3rd..so lets see how it goes this time....

FINALLY 140 APPROVED

Hi Guys. Some good news. Finally my 140 goot approved on Jan 7th. I tried logging in yesterday to this site but looks like it was down yesterday.

M2002 please update the tracker with my info. I hope you also get approval soon.

This is def a relief for me cause I wasnt sure how long it would have taken to get approval.

Also EAD and AP for myself and my wife is still not approved as of today morning.

Now lets all hope that this freeze gets over soon for 485's.

FINALLY..got the EAD card in mail.
Yetsrday went to SSN office for wife's SSN...
They said it will take 90 to 120 days....

KM_MP...did ur wife get the SSN how long did it take..

anybody else have any idea how long will it take to get the spouse SSN.

Congrats man on finally getting the EAD card. Even my wife's last name is different. We have put in her last name in the mail box from very beginning. But the question that I have is whether we should put in both first and last name or just the last name in our mailbox.

Congrats ! Finally your EAD has arrived. SSN generally comes in two weeks though they say that it will take longer.

Strange Status Message

My 140 was approved in September 2002 w/o RFE and approval notice was received in early October. Today I checked the case status (both online and AVM) again, I was shocked by this very strange message (changed from previous standard approval message):

On October xx, 2002, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 210 and 240 days for us to process this kind of case. However, because preliminary processing was complete before we requested the additional material, the remaining processing time for this stage of your case is approximately 240 days. You will receive a written decision on this case.

Isn't it very strange? Got RFE response after case approval? Something must be wrong. Any ideas? Thanks for your input.
