Chicago Regional DOL Tracker

Omnislash,

Well...that's definitely not good news....basically all this is centered around the basic premise >>

WE DON'T WANT YOU COMING/STAYING HERE...and they call it a FREE COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..LAND OF OPPORTUNITIES...bAH!!

As i said earlier....we all shud either :

1) Get up from all our jobs....all desis across the US...and observe a one day - no show to work....in protest of all these atrocities against us....I mean we are working for the common good of everybody...which should also include ourselves as well...paying social security, medicare all taxes..getting screwed by consulting companies...employers...subject to so much discrimination....just because we want a better life...for ourselves, for our kids and something for the folks who are soo far away from us...back home....

OR

2) Just shut the fuck up...and not talk about immigration..save money...and once your 6 years are done...get the fuck out of here...do more outsourcing...work it all out of india....

....sorry guys....out of context for this forum...but like many others...am fed up too..

anybody got their case sent to Dallas BEC?

Anybody got their case sent to BEC?If yes then what kind of feedback from them?
Thanks

Dalls has still to get Chicago cases

Hi,

Dallas is still to receive Chicago Region Cases. Once it will arrive, the data will be entered in system & then letters will be generated. It will take few weeks for that to happen. Somewhere in jan 2nd week you can expect your lawyers will receive letters and they have to respond back in 45 days, else the case will be closed forever.

Once the letters are received , it will be again keyed in system about the receipt to persue cases. And then all cases will be prioritized according to the priority date of Local office.

The only silver lining is , once Nebraska starts processing I-140 and I-485 which is nearly at standstill for past 18 months (I-485) and 6 months in case of I-140. I think since Chicago regional office has been idle for 1 year , not working on any case. The I-140 and I-485 will move faster ( its a big HOPE).
But still in a sunny day situation take minimum of 30 months more , And not so sunny will make us pack our bags and curse US and go back to SWADES.

Thanks,
Tanvir

the I-140 and 485 is already moving faster - but go for CP route if u want it faster..anyways i am off on my vacation today - so see y'all next year

I have signed the petition and forwarded the link to a few more friends who will also sign.

When are we sending the petition?

Thanks for the whole effort!!!

I-140,I-485 is not faster @PUHRINCE

Puhrince,

I-140 & I -485 is at standstill. Its not moving any faster. Only few test cases were picked up randomly for the rule that I-140 & I-485 will be cleared simiultaneously. Yes for some the GC approval came in real lightning speed. but barring few, most of the guys r stuck from Mar 2002.

Thanks,
Kanjoos

PERM becomes active from March 28, 2005

December 27, 2004. The rule becomes effective on March 28, 2005, 90 days after publication.

http://murthy.com/news/n_permfl.html

Re-Filing a Non-PERM Case Under PERM

If a job order has not been placed for a pending, non-PERM labor certification application, the application may be re-filed under PERM without loss of the priority date under certain conditions. In order to re-file and maintain the priority date, the PERM application must be submitted pursuant to all PERM requirements and it must contain an identical job opportunity.

Withdrawal of Prior Case

In order to re-file under PERM and preserve a priority date from an earlier case, the original labor certification application must also be withdrawn....

Michigan Labor Certification

My labor ceritification for green card was submitted in May 2001 in michigan state. it seems like that the whole process has been halted because if I look at processing time in Michigan State, it has been April 2001 for last one year.

Can someone tell me what is going on? Somone told me that the process will go really fast once the new software has been implented by BCIS.

Is this true?

Thanks

Petition

Guys!! When are we forwarding the petition? I guess we are struck with 67 signatures since long time.
Don't you think it is wise enough to take a decision on when to send this petition?

Perm

Guys:
PERM is finally going to start in March. :D

Any thoughts about it? Can you file in EB2 category under PERM?

There seem to be many questions around it, but as time passes by things would be more clear.

Happy New Year to all.

thanks.

PERM starts in March? Is this a confirmed news or just another expectation?

Are the cases in Chicago Regional (RIR) going to BEC ?? Anyone have more details, please update forum.

I heard from the same user "Icarus" in Dallas BEC Thread that the backloged Chicago cases has already been sent to Dallas BEC. He was not sure weather all the cases are sent or some. I noticed that all the information he was providing has turned true.
