Chicago Regional DOL Tracker

Situation is grave for multiple reasons.. your overall time till you get EAD is now elongated. So if you are in a good job that you like and is stable, it may not affect you.. but wait it does.. what it means is that if your job profile changes 'a lot' in terms of responsibilities, they may again deny I-485/140 saying the job requirements have changed... so effectively, you should remain junior and hope that your career does not grow faster than immigration process.. what irony....

Thx

Now i got it. You guys are talking about the general nature of the demon here. I know this whole Labor Certification and I 140/I 485 process is all nonsense and a real pain in Wherever you think it is appropriate. I saw quite a few frustrated souls venting out their anger on LC and didnt understood a thing when i first read.

Yeah i started my GC thinking that i will get my Labor done in a year and all will be rosy after that. It appears it will take more than a year if not 2. Then you start your 140 and 485 process till you get the final approval. So we are talking about another 3 years in the same company, doing the same thing without thinking a bit abt career.

I would have been well off in india. Atleast i get to watch India Vs Aus cricket matches.

let's keep positive attitude

Hi guys,

Let' keep a positive attitude. Chicago DOL used to be a fast region for labor and just slow down for the recent months. If you guys look around at processing time at NJ, washington D.C, Maryland,Oregon etc, you will find that we are not so bad.

So let's keep an optimistic attitude and keep on making this an imformative and helpful forum. We will get through finally. Anyone has its own ways of life and if you decide to seek other alternatives, we will wish you best of luck. But sending out a lot complains will not solve the problem and only makes people more frustrated.

Sorry if i offend anyone.

Cheers

I think of outsourcing the Chicago DOL labours doing labour processing

Guys,

I think, ab mujhe hi kuch karna padega.

I have a plan :

Plan A- Imposing Unilateral Sanction First I will stop the paycheques of these Agents who are not working on our RIR cases.

If Plan A not working then Plan B)

Plan B - Invade CHICAGO DOL Outsource the labour process of Chicago-DOL. Laying off all US workers working on the Processing.

Reconstruction CHICAGO DOL , Create a more efficient system in place I will give all these ppl a pink slip and outsource this whole thing to Aamchi Mumbai or to Shonar Bengal or to "Cheppo"baad. Indians will help rebuild & reconstruct the whole CHICAGO DOL.

Replicate CHICAGO DOL to Other DOL's
We will replicate the experience gained in CHICAGO DOL and replicate all across US. All the DOLS currently are part of AXIS of EVIL & we will deal with them one at a time. We will be quick & we will use shock and awe.

Thanks,
Swami Kanjoos

Be Positive Guys...

Just spoke with my attorney...and this is what he says....

Chic dol was busy in processing h2 apps and then they started working on rir and non rir cases for a week and now they are in the process of moving to a new location. But they will start working on cases once they completely moved to the new location...and the approx. time frame given by the dol ppl to start processing the rir and non-rir case is 1 to 1 1/2 months....
so guys be positive...hope one day we will get oue lobour cleared..... :)

and then you have december vacation time, so they will actually start warming up in January.. but wait..then from April 1 again new H1s will start and may be with more quota... rats... why can't they increase fees a little and staff it better instead of sharing with temp and perm..

I agree. Let's be positive. That's the best thing we can do at this point.

This is so confusing.Just call the Chicago DOl yesterday & ask abt my case with RD of 29Th Dec.Goa reply that they are processing 18th of Dec as of now & there is no definite time frame as to when they will reach the 29th..may be a month or two months.I specifically asked abt their relocation .but the lasy said that hey were working on RIR case right now.?!!!!!.
Beats me what the hell they are upto..Screw them ..Anyways..still go to keep on hoping bcos the stakes are very high..

They are not aware of any moving.

Hello,

I do not know how much it is correct. But when asked to the agent, the Agent says they are not aware of anything like that happening.

Every one is giving thier own reasons. Even Attorneys are all in limbo with no one knowing what is happening.

Currently they are processing From date Dec 18th - Dec 29. And that has been going on since past 1 month now.

Thanks,
Kanjoos

Diff ppl work on diff apps on diff dates Mr. ranGC

In DOL Office...each ppl will be given a set of apps to work on.....when you called i think it happens to be the person who is working on dec 18th apps....i'm not just posting some garbage info in the forum...below are few examples.....

Moving in not a valid reason

All,
Moving is not avalid reason for late.In my office 453 employees work here every one had bunch of files with them, when we moved to different location which is one mile away from old office .Movers came on Friday at 3.00 PM and they gave boxes to us on top of that we have to write from(cube #) to (cube #).They moved our computers ,boxes, storage room items just 12 working hours.Saturday 8 hours and Sunday 4 hours.
I don’t think so it is not going to be 2 months process unless CHICAGO DOL officers decided to move the stuff with their employees and by walk. :) Just go to any movers website and check how the moving works.
One thing i can say we cannot do anything except waiting.

is Chicago DOL really moving to a different office ?

I checked with my attorney about all these news that Chicago DOL is moving to a different location .
All they know is that USDOL Chicago is coming up with Centralized Processing Centers to reduce the backlog. They have been requesting more information from them but have not received it so far.

Wonder what is a fact and what is a rumour ?

:(

CHI-DOL Moving

Hey if moving is what is going to have an adverse affect on all of us then why don't we all volunteer and help them in moving !!! No jokes, I am serious.

seriously...

How do you intend to help them out? Put certified stamp on all pending cases by yourself? Now that help is noteworthy !

Any approvals??

Although the timeline is not going beyond Dec 29th. But are we seeing cases being processed for others who are between Dec 18 - Dec 29?? Or they are not processing even those cases.

Can some one check the cases with the case numbers?? I tried calling 312-353-1059, it keeps on ringing , no voice message , no operator nothing whatsoever.

There are nearly 3000 cases each month to be processed. So thier will be a stock pile of more than 30000 cases, not sure how they will take care of it??

 Crying  ,
Kanjoos

voice mail seems to be out of order
i could not get thru all day yesterday
today any case number i put in seems to be invalid

it is not even recognizing eny employer's phone numbers

something is going on

they must be updating the system with new approvals.

Rhythmram

I am not questioning the validity of the data post by fellow forum memebrs. But is just that disfferent version of stories that we keep hearing from different ppl..Can you tell me from where can the Updated list of cases be downloaded..alongwith the link..You help is greatly appreciated.

Thanx Buddy

confirmed info

This is correct information. They are moving to a new center, following is the response my attorney just got from USDOL Chicago :

"The National Processing Centers in Chicago and Atlanta will be operational sometime in December. We are in the process of moving to the new center (we are packing and preparing for the move at the end of this month). Expected occupancy will be November 1, 2004."
