pre approved labour

my company has per approved labour. My qualification is civil engg & 1 year compuer cource . Pre approved lc's qualification is be in electronics engg.
Can i use this labour. Any comments welcome.

My 2 Cents on Pre-Approved Labour

Risk is no Good, I thinks if you are not in hopeless situation , then do get your own labour & have patience.

You will have to do lots of what-if questions to yourself.... You will have peace of mind if you file for labour on your own skills. You may have anxiety and endless waits ...but still lil piece of mind.


If you go for some pre-approved labour of some other person, you may not have serenity. You will always have this worry & nail biting times always.

You have a choice , which ever way you go , I wish you all the best.

Here is my opinion. This is not a straight farward question to be answered Yes/No. You need to get to the details of the labor petition. Look at the basis of the request. You can always swap your education qualification as long as you match the other criterias of the application with one exception. In your petition, the education degree should have something like 'BE' or 'Preferably BE Computer Science' instead of 'Must have BE Computer Science'.

Anyway, Please check with your lawyer. I know couple of my friends got this gold mine. I totally dispute the peace of mind argument. There is no peace of mind issue here. Even if you file your own application, you can't have peace of mind.

Situation similar to Indu116

Hello Everyone,
I have the same dilemma as Indu116. My company has a pre-approved labor cert for MS/MBA in Information System with 2 yrs computer related exp. I have MS in Mechanical Engg. with over 2 yrs of computer related experience.

I talked to the company's attorney but he thinks that it will be very difficult to justify MS/MBA in Information System is equivalent to MS in Mechanical Engg. Based on attorney's recommendation, company wants me to pay for the labor process if I still want to use the approved labor for my gc process. They have already applied for my labor seperately.

Please suggest weather I should consider paying from my own pocket for approved labor which according to the attorney may not fit my education experience.

Lets please use this thread only to track Labor Certifications for applications submitted to the Chicago DOL only. A lot of people (like me)..periodically look at this thread for updates on this subject ONLY. Please create a new thread and discuss it there.

This will ensure that issues don't get convoluted and will not confuse new people who are looking for specifc information.

The new BRC info we are seeing these days is for CHICAGO DOL or for all federal labor processing centers? Does anyone have any idea on this?
 
Hey No guys, we are not submitting any petition...firstly we did not get the adequate response...with 20-30 guys..it was a sheer waste...and i can feel that there is some development going on -- brc or maybe something else...we'll just have to wait and watch...

Here you go. I added my details. Here is a question I have. I have heard many people say that when SESA forwards your case to CHI-DOL, it takes about 4-6 weeks for the AVM to get updated.

It took only 3 days in my case. Is this a good sign that things finally started moving at CHI-DOL. Just trying to elevate some hope in this ridiculously long waiting process.

Any comments???

Our company having pre-approved labour. It says BS in computer eng. I have Masters in Compter applications. Can I use this labour? Any one know about this? Please....

My company has almost 20 petition’s pending with Chicago DOL which are transferred to DOL between second week of JAN and last week of MAY.

Our company layer spoke to some one in DOL today (I am not sure about the name of the person he spoke to), based on the information from those sources he suggested three of my colleague’s who’s applications are received by Chicago DOL in third week of JAN to get ready to apply for their I140 and 485 by first week of October.

Once again a request from my side guys please don’t send or answer questions like PRE-Approved Labor etc, etc in this thread. Please post some thing related to CHICAGO DOL

guys there is already a tracker for chicago DOL on immigration.com, that should suffice..look at upper right hand corner under Headline news
