Guys,

Thanks for the news about chi-dol..no luck...have u heard this from your attorney or company people ? I know there is a whole lot of disparate information here..and although at times (like all of us)..i feel bad too...(Jan04- RIR)...but we cannot lose hope..

Anyone try from DOL ? I did ..thu and fri..but they never pickup...it goes to some vm's......why i say that is..cos employers may be saying this just to keep people motivated and not look out for options....

Anywayz..hope it gets processed soon and we get out LCA...

Keep the thread going..and lets just post info about Chi - DOL on this thread please..

My company has almost 20 petition’s pending with Chicago DOL which are transferred to DOL between second week of JAN and last week of MAY.

Our company layer spoke to some one in DOL today (I am not sure about the name of the person he spoke to), based on the information from those sources he suggested three of my colleague’s who’s applications are received by Chicago DOL in third week of JAN to get ready to apply for their I140 and 485 by first week of October.

Once again a request from my side guys please don’t send or answer questions like PRE-Approved Labor etc, etc in this thread. Please post some thing related to CHICAGO DOL

It took only 3 days in my case. Is this a good sign that things finally started moving at CHI-DOL. Just trying to elevate some hope in this ridiculously long waiting process.

I called Chicago AVM 312-353-1059 with my company phone number listed in my ETA 750(AEC Application/Labour Application). It said no such number could be located. I even tried with TaxID number it could not locate.

My Company lawyer said SESA forwarded to Chicago on Aug19,2004
 
the number exists..but u need your case number to find the status now
if u don't have a case # call 312.596.5400, press 4 and ask for your case #

As I have mentioned earlier my company has almost 20 petition’s pending with Chicago DOL which are transferred to DOL between second week of JAN and last week of MAY.

A few of these people are working on 80-20 with the company (me too), so these people should pay their own GC expenses including the layer fee, so we are directly talking to the layer. On behalf of us he called DOL today and after talking to DOL our layer’s assumption is my colleague’s whose applications are received by Chicago DOL in third week should be cleared by the end of September and he advised them to get ready with the documents to apply for I140.

Mohan this is just based on what we heard from our attorney and this is his individual assumption.

Interesttoknow please go through my previous posting clearly, I haven’t told applications received in JAN are approved it is my layers assumption based on the conversation he had with DOL authority that they may be done by end of September.
