Fingerprint Notice!

Hi All,

ME & My wife have received fingerprint notice y'day. It schedule one week starting from this Thursday.

My Problem is we can not make this until sep20th.

On the Notice it says " IF you can not go to INS Application Support Center during your scheduled seven day period, you may go on any WEDNESDAY following your scheduled seven day period,as long as you come in with in 84days from the scheduled week. If you donot taken them with in that period, your application may be considered abandoned and denied"

I can make it immediate wednesday after sep 20th.
Did any one go to ASC after the scheduled Week Period? Do they ask any questions like why did we miss the week period?

Hi,

You can just go ahead to get your finger print on Wedesday any time. We had the same problem before, Chicago INS informed me to do second finger print, their issue day was Aug 18 last year, but I didn't receive letter utill Nov. I just go to INS support service to get my finger print done.

Good Luck!!

Does anyone know how long NSC takes to send the actual file to Chicago after the transfer notice has been sent.

at least two or three weeks or much more time.

When i got transfer notice, i sent EAD application to chicago office.
But, they didn't have my file at that time and returned mine.
i sent it to NSC again. they transferred it three month later to chicago. so much time consuming. ~!

I talked to the attorney today and he did not think that we would have to redo our medicals.

My wife and I had our interviews today and we are all done but the plastic cards. The interview was smooth. The cases were consolidated on our lawyer's request and the interview process did not last longer than 30 minutes. The officer asked me for my employment letter and last year's tax return. He did not ask my wife for any documents at all. The officer said we should get our plastic cards within the next 3-6 months.

This forum has been of great help and good luck to everyone!

Congratulations ! Could you post more details.

Where did you go to interview?
When did your case tranfer?
what kind of questions officer asked?
How do you prepare your interview?
Did you take your lawyer with you?

Now, I am very frustrated, I don't even know where our cases are?

Thanks

see below

You will get your appt. exactly 90 days after the date on the back of your cleared money order (or cashiers check).. BTW, you need to order a copy of that from the Post Office..... this will be your only receipt

more recent experience....

What I gather from yoyr earlier posting that your application for EAD renewal & new AP were filed simultaneously in early May and you have already got your appointment for EAD in July. That seems like Chicago BCIS has cought up on EAD renewals atleast

My case transferred to Chicago too. But when I applied EAD, I have double checked with my Lawyer, who said I should send my EAD application to NSC still. So , I don't know if it is proper to send your EAD application to Chicago. You might want to check with your lawyer again.

Wait too long

My case has been transferred to Chicago local office also. I got my AP from local; my attorney also filed my EAD with local office. We did not receive a receipt notice from local office. MY attorney got the cashed check from local office though - that might be the only evidence.

kind of news

I just met my attorney. Recently, one of her clients got interview notice. Their receipt date is May 2001.

Mar 2001 or '02?

Transfer back to NSC JAN 2003, no reason. I was told by senator's office and I have confirmed my case stayed in NSC for 6 months, now it has been transferred back to Chicago again on
June 2003 (no transfer notice, told by my lawyer through his internal resource).

I have been waiting for more than 30 months.

:(

This is scary

Re: Chiwaiter,Islamabadi and IJ....

Hi Everyone,

Update from my side:

September 11 has been playing a key role in my GC Process:

September 11, 2001, ND for 485 Application (RD 07/30/2001)
September 11, 2002 TD, cases trasferred to Chicago
September 11, 2003, Recieved Interview Notices for 1 week of Oct

Anyone with Chicago Interview Experience, please tell me:

Q. How long Interview happens ??
Q. What all questions/documents they ask for ??
Q. I'm no longer working for my sponsoring employer, and i was idle for 2 months, until my current Job, which is on W2, will that be a problem ??
Q. My Current Job is in different State, but my residence is in Chicago, will that be an issue ??

I will really appreciate any inputs from people who got interviewed at local office.

I will keep U guys posted with my case details.

Good Luck,

IJ
