FWIW, the LUD for the I-485's for my wife and myself (ND: 10/23/03) changed today (11/30/04) with no change in the status message. The LUD for our kids didn't change.

I did apply to renew my EAD recently (and they would have received this within the last few days) but I wouldn't have thought that this would cause my wife's LUD to change so maybe they are looking at our cases...

ETA-GC, I'm in a pretty similar situation to you (Refer to my signature), both me and my wife had our LUD change (I-485) 11/29/04, but our child showed no change. (My whole family applied for EAD2, AP2)
From all you've seen, is the LUD change on the I-485 because of the AP/EAD LUD change? Or is it because they're going to approve GC already? Reason I'm asking is that I'm hoping to change jobs end of Dec04 using AC21, and I don't know the implications of having approval right at the point where I change jobs.

Any advice or relevant posts I should look up would be greatly appreciated.
 
ETA_GC, Calbert..question for

for me & my dependents LUD for I-485 DID NOT changed because of filing 2nd AP/EAD at all... We filed our 2nd EAD/AP by end september, had FP1 on Oct 12 and LUD for I-485 changed only week after FP done..

My questions for you guys:
whether EAD & AP processing at NSC is slow which is taking long time to approve EAD/AP's ?
OR...
is NSC holding EAD/AP processing & adjudicating the cases which could be "ready" for approval?

bit curious....Any thoughts..? any trend similar like this ?

i dont think so, since i dont have any pending AP/EAD ,even then LUD changed today.

Reason I'm asking is that I'm hoping to change jobs end of Dec04 using AC21, and I don't know the implications of having approval right at the point where I change jobs.

Iam in the same boat, planning to join new job by Jan 1st week. Now in a fix whether to file for AC21 or to wait for GC to come through and then change jobs. The only problem with waiting is that there could be issues during citizenship, they might have concerns of fraud because of leaving sponsoring employer soon after GC approval. Filing AC21 ofcourse has its own issues.

I have almost decided for now to wait till Dec end before filing AC21.

Frustrated NSC's slow processing..no movemnt on my(I-484/EAD/AP)for more than month..

Congrats Serenity_now!!! for getting LUD changes on your case. VSC is moving fast ...& I am at NSC is waiting for something to happen on my cases for last one month...bit frustrated of NSC's slow processing...
