Can I work part-time using my EAD?

This is BAD LEGAL ADVICE --I do wonder what your sources for this advice would be...

It's not legal advice, because I'm not an attorney.

I'm quite curious, however, if I work for someone but do not fill out an I-9, what crime have I, the employee, committed? None. The employer will get in trouble with DHS or DOL (and probably fire me), but my employment is not illegal.

This information, quite frankly, is not very new. Applicants have been urged for a long time now to maintain non-immigrants status, due to certain personal benefits, as well as preventing possible denial ramifications. But if this implicates a future rush to attorneys, I am glad for the industry!!

Well , somebody advised that it is fine w/o H status but did not mentioned risk, therefore I recommended it is better to keep H status. One should make a decision with all the items on the table.
The info is not new to you, which does not necessary mean it is not new to original poster.

I have never claimed that you are an attorney - please do not put words in my mouth. While your advice was not legal in a formulative manner, it was legal in a substantive manner - the topic you gave advice about is legal matter and the advice was bad.

Your analysis of the above issues is in fact quite interesting...I wonder if you could quote your sources for me as to your claim about the burden of filing I9. I am very curious...
