Hi All,
I would be completing my interview in the first week of November at the san jose office. I am not sure how long will the oath letter will take to come. So can I travel after my interview and come back and have my oath done. I will still be traveling as an Indian citizen until I finish all the oath, passport etc right? Are there any issues with traveling during the citizenship process and after the interview, any do's and dont's ?
Please share your thoughts on this.
thanks in advance.

Assuming you have a valid green card, you shouldn't have any issues traveling outside the country while your oath date is pending. Some centers have the oath available on the same day of interview, so if you choose to do your oath the same day as successful interview you'll need to make sure to apply for your US passport before you travel.

Just remember that those days after the interview to the oath also count as time out of the US if you are close to exceeding your limit. If not, then don't worry about it.

You will travel on whatever nationality you are, Indian or whatever with your home nations passport and document. If you get the Oath and take it at the ceremony and get your Naturalization Cert, then you can apply for a US passport as you will then be a US citizen. Before the Oath you must travel with whatever nationality you are just like any other time...
