AVM/Tone talker is working now.
Does anybody have idea how DOL assigns case number? Is it random? I was trying to see some 999.151-031 cases filed in october but could not find any be entering case number. All cases I know are in dec 02 or more.

Please share and dont let this thread die.

My guess is DOT numbers are assigned in random (the orderin which the application is filed ).If you try few case number in consecutive order you will definitely find 031 cases . I was able to find 8/9 above code cases RD @ DOL OCT 15 2002 .

Hi, guys ! I have some news for you:)

Bill Carlson, Chief of the Division of Foreign Labor Certification, U.S.
Department of Labor, informed AILA DOL Liaison today that he expects
to provide DOL Region VI with guidance on dealing with high-tech RIR
labor certifications by the end of August. Until recently, Region VI
had been remanding high-tech RIR applications filed in late 2001 to
the SWAs for regular labor certifaction processing. After meeting
with a DOL Liaison working group two weeks ago, Mr. Carlson agreed to
consider developing a new policy for handling these cases. Region VI
has stopped remanding RIRs while the national office considers the
formulation of a new policy.

Mr. Carlson plans to travel back to California in mid-August to meet again
with the DOL Liaison working group and with Region VI officials. After this
meeting, Mr. Carlson plans to provide final guidance with respect to the
adjudication of high-tech RIRs.

Hi everyone, does anyone know what date is being processed currently by the DOL ? Oct 21 ?
thanks

 Sel,

Your message sounds very good. But I just checked AVM today, DOL is currently processing Oct.21. Some 095333XX received on Oct.21 DOT code 999-151-031 still got remanded on July 31, 2003.

I wonder whether DOL has stopped the remanding process.

I've shared the information I have.
I have no clue how it relates to DOL "reality".

remanded cases

According to my lawyer, DOL is putting a hold on the auto-remand policy and will provide the 3 option letter to everyone in the future. DOL has also indicated that for those cases that had already been remanded they will retract the decision if they still have the files. However, if the files had already been sent back to the state, there is nothing they can do.

Re: remanded cases

If this is true, then again it is going to be luck game (whether
file is w/ DOL or EDD) for auto-remand cases. I believe it is
highly unfair to the people whose cases have been remanded
without anyway to retract the decision. I do not know where
my case would fall...

Re: Re: remanded cases

Is there any way to know where the file is at this time - with DoL or with SESA...EDD...

Already remanded cases

I don't know if anybody whose case is already remanded is reading this thread anymore. My case was remanded to state about a month back. If DOL does an about turn of their policy on remands, it is very unfair to us who got screwed. Can we do something about it? Seriously, can we sue?

Re: Already remanded cases

I am one of those unlucky persons with slim hope of
getting thru the DOL mess (just trying to be positive). My case got remanded to STATE in last week of June.
