Buffalo Tracker (please add)

Hi love2002,

You will get one year from the time you did your medical exam to enter Canada.

Days spent in Canada will be counted from the day you land in Canada for the first time.

Waiting for Passports-Pls replyyy

Hi all.
We sent out passports for stamping on 4th June, still waiting!!
Any clue how long does it takes????????????????????
PLS REPLY~
THANKSS

See my post above it takes usually 7-15 days, if its more than month then its a cause for concern.

Not to frighten you but in my case it was pretty bad. I had moved to a new address 6 months back. I faxed them and saw that the Eclient status was changed to reflect the new address. Inspite of that I never received my passport at that address. They sent it to that old address where I lived 6 months back and it was lying with some magazines and old newspapers!! I was lucky that my old roomate saw that and called me up. It would have been worse if he had taken it back to the post office and tried re routing.

In my case since I went through lawyers they had internal contacts that helped me out find the status of my passport stamping. That still didn't stop it from going to the wrong address...:)....

To ssam & love2002

Are you guys expecting passport requests from Buffalo? What are your timelines? What does your e-client info say?

My e-client has been saying 'decision-made' for over a month. Still no passport request.

Hi,

Since your Canadian PR has been approved and you haven't landed yet (so officailly, you are not a PR yet), then in order to add your new born baby, you need to return your landing paper and passport and let them assess your application again. And you can't land now because if the immigration office at POE knows you have a new baby who is not included in your application, they won't let you land. Was your baby born before you got your PR approved? If so, you should have added your baby before you got your landing paper and passport visa.

Right now, you need to wait for their instruction on that.

talu76,

Did you do the medicals for your spouse too? From your time line I don't see that. Your medicals are valid for a year but you have to do that for your spouse too. Once again regarding the ID card they might need it for your spouse too, I also see a lot of references to incomplete application and the ID not being legible maybe the copy was not clear. I am not sure if all these together are causing issues.

You might also want to request caipsnotes, go to www.caipsnotes.com for detailed instructions. They will show you in detail all the notes on your case. They are a little tough to decode but it helps in certain situations.

If you have done your medicals for both of you, sent the ID cards for both of you and completed application forms for both of you clearly and complete then you can fax them a letter asking for clarification.

Passport Request

Canadian consulate ask to send passport and photographs in the gray envelop with 9" X 15" self addressed USPS Express envelope. So my questions is, can we send self addressed envelope and gray envelope having passport and photos in another envelope. Because otherwise it’s kinda hard to fit think express envelope in that little gray envelope.

Thanks

Reply to ASHI

Yes! I did send the pre-paid express envelope. I am little nervous since my passports have been delivered 15 days back(7th of June). On Monday 21st, I will be completing 15 days. I am tracking the return mail but yet no record has been found. I am planning to send a fax to the Consulate on Monday.- Any suggestions?

I also heard from one of my friend that the consulate only stamps visa on Thursday’s for all mail received in the post: any comments?

Mona 123 : Did you get your passports?

Passport Return

Rajan_raj,
I am in the same limbo, I made even a stupid mistake of reserving air tickets thinking that the passports would come back in a week. I sent our PP on 8th June Consulate receieved it on the 9th. Still haven't got anything. I was planning to fly on 25th. Let's see what happens. I am also going to send a Fax tomorrow to the consulate.
Let me know if you find out anything.

Good Luck,

Thanks for your posts,
My Passport was recieved by CIC on 15 morning (Tuesday) .

I was also planning to fly on 25 night or 26th to toronto. But then I checked forums and saw your posts . Thank god I didn't booked airline tickets. I just holded rental car with no cc required.

Please guys anyone who gets Passports Back pls update as lot of people are planning to land during that period.

Thanks

Hi guys,
My analysis kindda proves the theory that CIC stamps on VISAs on every Thursday and then you get it on Thursday after 2 weeks is correct. I have seen several past posts that confirm with the theory. Everyone including myself who sent PP before Thursday June 10 are waiting, it means we all should receieve our pp on Thursday June 24.

Keep ur fingers xed.

Hey Guys

I am just curious why u guys are in so hurry to land in Canada. Is there anything I am missing? You know what I am just opposite of you guys cuz I am planning to land in the last month of my visa date expires. Canadian Consulate just requested my passport and I am going to send after 20 days cuz I want to delay as much as I can. I just finished my 15 months on H1-B and I still have 4.5 yrs to go provided if I can keep my job. Huh!!!

I have one more question, how long we have to stay in Canada to keep our PR valid in first 5 yrs. What kinda proves they ask to prove that person was actually satyed in Canada for ??? yrs?

Thanks

Harman

For those who sent post-assessment requested documents and medicals in April-May(2004) timeframe -- saw any change in e-client status or received passport request ?
