Breaking news!

You obviously have a certain urge for debating and arguing, I will not fall for that. Your lack of a more plausible argument is understandable as long as you associate yourself with that puerile and pejorative TV commercial.

I'm terribly sorry you feel this way. If you start posting information that is factually correct you will find that we will agree most splendidly.

I for one am very appreciative of the information that TheRealCanadian has posted on this forum.

You on the other hand, have yet to post anything credible as far as I can tell...

Again, it is your discernment that allow you to understand, or not, what’s happening around you.

Please, read again the title of the message. It’s self-explanatory.

Out of 1,472 people that by in, of course that there are a few that feel the affirmations are not in concordance with their views and feel the urge to react.

In the future, as long as you consider my posts futile, please stop reading them.

How does it effect people who have EB cases pending in vermont or the cases that are transferred to local offices? Do they have to withdraw their 485 petition and file it again at the local office in order to take advantage of this 90 day provision??

Considering it doesn't affect EB cases right now, withdrawing your I-485 would be an extremely bad idea.

It would better to not post inaccurate / unconfirmed information in the first place so we don't have to correct it / do damage control...

You never did post a source for your "breaking news" btw -- if you post that I'll be happy to read it and retract my comments if there's anything in there which supports the claims that you made wrt employment based cases... I did make some effort to find the source but didn't find anything...

We're all basically in the same boat here, just trying to get some insight into what the VSC is up to and how our cases might proceed...

USCIS to Expand Pilot Program to All 50 States and District of Columbia

USCIS is scheduled to expand the Pilot Program for local green card cases to residents in all 50 states and District of Columbia and provide web access. USCIS requested on 11/30/2004 the OMB to review its notice which it intends to publish in the federal register. Right on, USCIS!!

Since last April 2004, the USCIS has been testing this pilot program through Dallas and New York district offices adjudicating certain family-based I-130/485 green card applications and other local district office proceedings within 90 days. During the testing period, the applicants in other local district jurisdictions felt the program was unfair to them.

On behalf of the immigrants across the board and throughout the nation, we "wholeheartedly" welcome the move and salute the USCIS leadership.
The details have yet to be announced and it is unclear whether the nation-wide pilot program will be a carbon copy of the ongoing Dallas Pilot Program model of 90-day adjudication or it will take longer. However, the immigrant community should send "applaud" to the USCIS leadership.

Serenity_now,
did you get original source of this info ? Just curious to know where this news is from

cool down

Guys cool down. There is nothing wrong in being optimistic (however false it may be !). People have been living only because they have some hope (or false hope). I too am waiting for GC for 7 years now. I believe GC is like buying a lotto ticket. Every you check the status about a 100 times and hope you see the magical emails.
