concurrent filing

Do you think it is possible to file concurrent applications (I140&485) beginning Jan 2005. Since visa number is going to retrogress starting from Jan 05, people who get approved by this year or later is going get affected. I mean does INS will allow concurrent filing when the visa number is not available?

USCIS (INS) has a fix number of Immigrant Visas (simple language - Green Cards) per yer per category per Country... So if one of the category has more number of applications they have to wait for some time till visa becomes available for them... Just like Family Based Green Card where you have to wait for 1 to 15 years to get your green Card.
 
October Boston DOL clearance?

Hello Everyone.

Is there anyone on here who's RIR labor was sent to Boston DOL in first week of September (DOL receipt date approx first week of October) and has been cleared.

Also how does one find out their case file number from DOL .

We have Oct 06th as the latest approval...truly one can't find thier own case number but employer may be able to tell based on the all the labors filed by employer yet that alos will be a rough guess...wud be accurate if u r s is only the one in a specific time period or u r s is diff job cat than all others etc etc. More questions call em on my cell 860 202 9407. NOTE: t represent a company.

Are you sure it is per country? So in other words if my counytry of origin does not get too many GC I should be ok with 485 process?

I was trying to reach you over the phone unsuccessfully..
My application has a receipt date of Oct 6th from NH under 030-062-010 category. Neither my employer nor my attroney did not receive any status.

For which category you got it cleared?

Folks,

As far as Visa number retrogresses is concerened, I learnt from other immigration websites that it is going to affect EB3 category only not for EB2.

This is as per my understanding, I might be wrong.

webjockey: Concurrent filing is not an issue after Jan2005. I dont see that as a point of concern. However if one is filing under EB2, then their I485 might be delayed as that is when, one would require to get a visa number.

Labor Submitted on July 19th

Hi

My State Labor is filed on July 19th and not heard anything from State Labor Department. Can any one please let me know how can I check the information. I have asked the Employer and he also doesn't have any information.

Excel sheet to keep track BostonLabor.xls

Friends, I have created a excel sheet BostonLabor.xls for us to enter in our status. If one like this already exists please ignore this one and let me know which one so that I can use it myself.
All of us can add our status (Sent to DOL, RFE or Cleared) on this Excel. Also it would be useful only if people update their status when they get some information about their case. This will help us all in accessing where we stand.
 
any info regarding AVM??

Did any one get through AVM.? I am not able to get through for last two weeks. It just keeps ringing or engaged. The other number 617-788-0152 is also of no use. It just reads a recording.
Is there anyone from Aug/early Sept, still not processed from Boston DOL? I think by this time everybody till mid sept should be cleared.
 
State Cleared

Hi Everyone

Today only I came to know from my employer that my state is cleared in July only. It was received on July 19th and cleared in same month from Maine. Can any one please let me know how long Maine state take to send it to Regional Labor? Anyone whose Regional got cleared in around Aug/Sept from Maine (Boston Region)?

Please let me knwo if anyone has an idea?

is your an RIR or NON RIR case ?
Please confirm if your case was forwarded from Maine to Boston in July ? Was your Maine SESA cleared in less than 1 month ?
