No NOF or anything in my case (THANK GOD)!
I am clueless myself as to why it took so long.
So many people I saw from this forum that got through very quickly, within weeks (like 3 weeks or so)!

How long does it take to get the approval from DOL?

Hi Guys,

Does any one know how long does it take to get the approval from Boston DOL? Is there any rule to follow to estimate the time?

I have seen that people posted their info in this thread, and it looked like a lot of people got the approval within one month, but a few of people took 7 or 8 months to get the approval. Why? Please respond.

The last few of these records show me(bostonguy) as having been certified. Does somebody know something I don't?? :). I'd sure love for that to be the case.

got the mail from my attorney that labor has been approved and that they recieved it yesterday, will post further details as i get them and good luck to all of you guys see u all in 140/485 forums

My priority date is july 1st 2002 (RIR)at Boston SESA> How long do you think it will take for my case to be certified.I think they are processing June/02 cases now.

Also can I check my case status from Boston SESA.Is there any number that I can contact.Please help i am new in this field.Thanks.

What was your MA SESA priority date and How long did it take for DOL to clear your case .Kindly let me know as my case is in DOL since 20th Dec,2002.By the way mine is RIR ,was your's RIR too?

i posted all the details i had and updated the list and will post the boston dol no. as i have it, right now my attorney has all the documents, it took boston dol about a month to process after it was forwarded by sesa, complete process took about 9-10months from the start(RIR)

I called my attorney but he says he has not received any notice from MA SESA but when I checked their AVM it says MA SESA is processing July 31st-- August 15 RIR cases. My priority date is July 1st,2002.After that I checked BOSTON DOL AVM using my employer tel # until yesterday (1-5-03) it said application received on 20th December but today it says this case got certified on 1-02-2003.considering the time lineI assume it was my case but I don't know for sure because our's is a huge company and I can't ask HR if they have applied for other people around same time. By the way ,I am chemist (MS) and not software professional like most of you guys.

here is my case detail:-

PD ; MA SESA : 7-01-2002 (RIR)

MY CASE # IS:- 200202 XXX

If I hear anything concrete ,I will inform you.

You should send an e-mail to the address:
LCSTATUS01@doleta.gov

Use the employer phone number or Tax ID in the text as follows:
'Tax ID XX-XXXXXXX'

or

'Employer Phone (XXX) XXX-XXXX'

In the reply ou should heopefully be able to recognize your case based upon the job title / salary.

You're lucky to be approved so quickly if so!

I can understand the employer # but what about TAX ID # Is it your company's Employment ID # or your personal TAX ID which is your personal SOcial security #. Kindly clearify this matter.

However, I had emailed DOL using my employer tel # and waiting to hear from DOL.
By the way one of my colleague's case was transfered from MA SESA on 10th Dec ,2002 and certified on 19th Dec, 2002.since we are not computer professionals(I am a Chemist) maybe our case is adjudicated differently or should I say faster.If what i explained earlier is my case than it was transfered to DOL on 20th of december 2002 and got certified on 2nd January,2003.

By the way do you know how long r DOL takes to send the certification document once it is certified.Shall keep u guys posted if I hear anything.

Can you please give me the number to check AVM of MA-SESA and DOL. Where to get the right Employer tel # and Tax ID #. Please let me know if you find out.
