CT SESA transfer time

I believe CT SESA mentioned that even though it has cleared the files for April 30th, it is going to be first week of July for all cases to be transfered to DOL.

one question, how come the certifying range is so broad

from August 2001 to march 2002,please shed some light on what is the order? the receiving date is definitely not the order. how about priority date or something else?

Question for gurus re: LC process

My attorney says that my case has moved to the DOL but it has not yet been assigned a case number. The DOL is presently working on cases filed at the MA DET the week of April 30, 2001. Since my case was filed with DET in mid-July, it could be more than five months before the labor certification is adjudicated.
I am also told that DOL does not inform the attorneys of case transfers so there is no priority date that I can get from the attorney.
Can someone please confirm if this is correct?
If that is the case, then how come so many people are visiting this board with case #s to check on the status of their application?
I would appreciate a response from any of the gurus.
 
icemn24, I think you are right....

I was looking at couple of cases approved with RD in 12/01 on our forum and all those guys confirmed to me that they had the case pending for more year and half. But, U never know with DOL....

i think you have confused yourself with DET and DOL and MA SESA.

Anyways if your case has a PD of Mid July and is RIR then MA SESA(DET Dept. of Edu and training) would have been working on it this month.

This means your case will be sent to DOL in about 1-3 months depending your luck. Is used to take about a week for this transfer and still is the case from other states like Connecticut, Maine etc but not anymore.

Once in their the DOL will process your case when it reaches your case in the Queue.

DOL is processing anywhere between Nov - Mar for RIR applications that have been forwarded to it.

So IMHO i think you will have to wait atleast another 3-6 months.

DOL and Date Ranges for Approval in my opinion

i think the reason we are seeing this wide range of dates for approval of cases is as follows.

when the DOL takes up cases for adjucation they distribute a set of cases to each officer and often they are in the same time bucket.

thus you will have one officer with 200 Oct cases another with 200 Nov cases and so on.

Also they have different adjudicators for Temp cases and Permanent cases.

So everyday when the DOL database is updated you have a mix of all cases from all dates but the majority will be cooks and temp cases because they can be adjusted much faster.

That is just my humble theory and you guys are free to critique it.

Wow DOL rocks !!

Boston DOL really rocks, the gap is close to 2 months now.( I think part of that is due to PD ).

Applications received on 3/19 are being certified on 5/29.
