no more RIRs for IT cases

Hi guru,
I have just heard from my lawyer whose about to file my RIR that they just got a memo which says no more RIR cases in Boston area due to unemployment.

Is this true?

Love to hear from all of you and thanks in advance

At this pace all the cases till december i.e 1689 cases should be done in 2 months.

There are about 700 cases pending before Sep. So, the total comes to 700+1689 approximately. If it is God\'s will, my appln. filed in Dec\'01 will be taken up around August.

When will my LC getting cleared?

Hi, My company filed for me during October 2001 in NON RIR in Boston. But I have my 6 year visa valid upto April 2004 only. I have just 24 months letf out. Is there any chance for me to clear my labor and I-140 before April 2004?

Jing LC does\'nt matter. If you had got your I-140 you should have filed it again but

for LC you don\'t have to file it again

Sadly, it\'s true...

I just got a copy of the memo sent to local AILA members. It says:
--start memo--
Sharryn Ross, DOL Region I Liaison, reports the following information she received from Ray Lopez:

1. As a result of the memo from Dale Ziegler, Chief of the Division of Foreign Labor Certification of DOL, Region I is strongly encouraging and recommending that labor certifications for occupations in the IT industry be filed under the regular labor certification process rather than RIR.

2. The expedite policy applies only to those cases that have been forwarded to the Department of Labor. There is no expedite policy in place for cases still pending at DET.

So it doesn\'t say in as many words that IT RIR is dead in Boston, but it\'s close enough.

With a RD 07/25/01 Regular LC, when do you think it would be for the PD? Sometime in 2000?

What Happens to cases already filed in RIR last year? My case is still in MA SESA with PD 9/7/2001 EB3 RIR ? what will the effect to meyself ?
