Been 3 weeks, spouse's 485 pending, why?

wife's still pending

Did any of your dependent's case approved recently.?

Mine got approved 4 weeks back.. but still wife's case pending ::confused:
 
Spouse's I485 approved 4 weeks later:

Primary I-485 approved on 08/16/2007
Spouse I-485 approved on 09/17/2007

Still they haven't approved for my wife case. It's been 3 months since primary approved. I opened SR 40 days ago. Usually, they will respond within 30 days, but now no response yet. What it could be? Why the hell they hold derivative case?
 
Same here. I was approved at the end of July. Wife's still pen ding. Opened SR through lawyer on 18 sept, no response yet. I dont know whether they are holding derivative cases for no reason or waiting for PD to be current. my PD is Sept 2005 (niw).

If your PD is not current, then that is a likely reason why your wife's case is pending now. But, when your case got approved she should have gotten approved if everything was all set in her case.

After 50 days, I got a response letter from USCIS regarding my wife's case.

At this time we have no further information regarding the case. Please contact us again in 30-60 days.

Please advise guys. What do they want really to process the case?

It is very frustrating.. not sure why don't approve derivative along with primary..
I am in the same boat my wife's case still pendin mine got approved August, 2007

We applied for EAD and AP at the end of July even those not approved yet..
 
That is pretty bad. No useful information..

Is anyone still waiting for approval of the derivative case? We are yet to see approval for my wife. Files AP in July Nothing there yet. It is now November. It will start snowing in Nebraska soon. Then it will get too cold to work for NSC people. They will probably start working again in Spring. In the meantime, I do not know what to do about out trip to india in december.

I am still waiting for my wife's approval.. I too filed for EAD/AP in July no movement on those yet.. Mine got denied as my GC approved, but for my wife there is no change or approval

We called IO yesterday. Didn't get any info. Yes it is under process. Yes We know AP is also under process. NO there is no problem, everything goods good. waiting for vissa number. I said dates are current.. IO said waiting for Visa Number.

JUSTGC007... how will infopass help? They always claim they can not see any additional information.
