I've been helping a friend go through the GC process, and have been reading/posting here intermittently. She just got her 45-day letter. Here's her info.

MA SWA
EB2
Regular
PD: 07-May-2003
RD: NO TRANSFER
Regional DOL: Philadelphia
New BEC Case no.: N/A
45-day letter Date received: 19-Oct-2005

Question: I just looked at the BECTracker spreadsheet, and it looks like there is a bit of a spread in dates of approved applications. For example, looking at the "ALL PD by Month" worksheet, it looks like most of the approvals are happening for Priority Dates in April/May 2002. But then there are a few approvals with PD's a whole year later, between April and July 2003. If presumably Philly BEC is working on Apr/May 2002, how did these 2003 applications get approved?

It is Dallas BEC that has approved many of the 2003 applications.

But they are in the "Philadephia BPC" column in the tracker....

Those are all Non-RIR (Regular) cases processed by PBEC. They first gave priority to all Regular cases. Some lucky guys with PD in 2003 who filed Non-RIR applications got approved by PBEC.

Was I approximately right to conclude that Philly BRC is now processing April/May 2002 applications?

Is looking at the tracking spreadsheet the best way to determine which range of priority dates they're working on?

A couple of months ago (I think?) someone made a prediction about Philly BRC's progress in the future. I think the estimate given was that they'd reach May 2003 applications by June of 2006. Has that estimate changed at all, lately?
