Baltimore- Anyone not have medical exam at interview?

We went for our 485 interview at Baltimore on April 15 thisyear. WE didn't have the medical exam so we had to finish the interview and go take care of that.
We mailed the results in and got a response that Baltimore received it, but it would take until possibly September to process.
Anyone else going through this? How long did a response take? Will I have to wait until September or is it normally shorter than that?

Thanks!

----- You can again Visit the Baltimore after 1 month and should ask what they say, they need to be reminded that Interview is over and medicals submitted.
I dont understand why you did not include your Medicals at the time of I-485 filing??????
Thanks!

Yep it sounds weird to me that's why I'm wondering if it's normal

When we went in April my husband didn't have his medical done at all. He's been living in the US since about 15 years ago and all of the paperwork we read didn't say he needed it.
WHen we got there it was the last thing our interviewer asked us, for the medical paperwork.
So we got a list of doctors and went the next week, mailed it in, and got a reply that it is taking them X amount of time to process and our deadline for response is September 15th approximately.

WE wrote a letter asking if everything was received ok (even though we have a receipt) and explaining that we were waiting for a response. THis was about 2 weeks ago and still nothing.
My husband also called and was told that if we were missing paperwork that there is always a wait. Not complaining but.... for a medical checkup that went well, what could be the problem, if any?

-------- best thing go to your congressman or senator office write everything in detail and provide them each info(written by you) let the congressman or senator office handle this, if Interview is over in April, and you submiteed medicals as advised , they cant delay till september, you need congressman or senator office to handle this and you will get reply in 15-20 days after Congressman or senator office makes enquary.

*** you or your lawyer who filed I-485 did a mistake, Medicals done and are sent with I-485 application

Actually, my wife is in the same situation. Notice said that she should wait till September after resubmitting immunization record.

She will go to Baltimore and will make her case inquiry.

I heard that the best day to go there is on the day when they do not schedule interviews.

Is it Friday? Any information on that?

------ many USCIS sites are saying they are trying to reduce Backlog? it seems all BS becase if any document asked and submitted why does it take them till September??? If she gets no good responce when your wife visit Baltimore You must contact Representative Albert Wynn office I think he looks after Gaithersburg or Montgomery village it is congressman and his office contact is:
Olney office
Phone: (301) 929-3462
Fax: (301) 929-3466
Address:
18200 Georgia Ave., Ste. E
Olney, MD 20832

he is a good person and his office staff is also good, you need to contact that office ( Olny or Only, I just know becase someone contacted that office and got the results in 15 days from Baltimore USCIS and case was
approved ).

here is link to your reprentative:

I know a lady who was scheduled for Baltimore local office for Interview in first week of MAY 2004 for her I-485 employment based Interview at Baltimore and in first week of MAY she got Flu and other medical complications and she sent letter to Reschedule her Interview and letter was sent before the Interview date. She does not have any update when her next Interview may be rescheduled. Could your wife after she finishes her case update with Baltimore can ask if the person was supposed to attend Interview in first week of May 2004 and requested for rescheduling the interview date when person can expect new Interview date?? approximate. It will be great help to lady if your wife can help and can just ask this question. She needs to know because she is still on bed and at the time of next Interview date she may need 2-3 recent pay stubs and she can plan to go for work or request her employer to make some arrangements for pay stubs. If your wife can ask the above I will be obliged and will be able to help somebody through you. I have got 2-4 Personal Message from her and unable to help her or update her.
Good Luck!!

Ginnu,

Thanks for the information. I will ask my wife to check on interview rescheduling.

AlexK,

Yes that is very similar to us. We had to go get the medical exam done and turn it in. We mailed it in but also, we didn't get an I-72 form to turn in. I've read that the I-72 is a form yhou can mail in with your missing papers.
But we got a receipt for the I-72. Regardless, We got a September deadline just like you two.

One other note, somewhere my husband got the suggestion to go up to the office after 60-90 days and he can request his EAD and they will give it to him right there. WE tried that, went up on a day where they were only taking appointments, no walk-ins.
This wasn't posted on any webpage, we just found out after we'd made the trip up to Baltimore (it's a hassle for us), so we had to leave without the EAD still. We finally got the EAD a week after our interview in APril.

Ginnu,
Do you think contacting the Senator will speed things up if I live in Prince George's country, not Montgomery?
If so, do we just walk in or do we mail in a letter? Do we speak to them also?

Let us know, we might have to do this afterall.
Thanks!

------- Yes, contact your county representitive or senstor office

, not Montgomery?
If so, do we just walk in or do we mail in a letter? Do we speak to them also?

----- first you have to call them on phone provide your address then they will let you know what office you need to visit, take all your filing reciepts and give it in writing what happened . some Congressman / senator offices have printed forms and fill out your info on it and write the problem.

Let us know, we might have to do this afterall.

Felipe/Lydia,

My wife did get I-72 form and I mailed it together with requested document.

Do you remember what was the day of the week you visited Baltimore and they told you that you would not be serviced without an appointment?

Hi,

We have received interview notice for next month along with FP2 and medical forms. We got our medical examination done 2 and 1/2 years ago when we filed our I-485,now we had to do all over again and spend the same amount of money we spent last time...I wondering why they ask us to do medical twice???

If yours is an EB case, there is a Bill Yates memorandum that says that all medicals are automatically considered valid until December 31st, 2004.

I called my Lawyer and he said to me that if INS sent me medical form along with interview notice and FP2 is because they want me to repeat the medical.
My case is EB3.
We are family of 4,we all got the same, medical for all of us.

It is worth a shot talking to your lawyer again and mentioning the "Bill Yates memorandum " to see if you can somehow bring that up and skip the exams.

If not, I rememerbed hearing the medicals were only good for a year. Is that right?

It was either a Thursday or Friday. The problem we had with it was that they didn't have anything up on a website or over the phone, we had to travel there and it was closed for no apparent reason. We tried to get in by showing his EAD receipt letter and saying we needed to get it since it had been 90 days but that day they had some notice on the doors saying that thursday and friday they were only letting appointments get in.
We got stopped at the guard shack in Baltimore.

Sorry this isn't any help, but if it's a trend then we should get others to speak on it.
