My b1/b2 visitor visa was cancelled under 214 b based on prejudiced suspected inegibilty by consular officer. before, we were living in USA on R1/R2 visas but consular officer had just denied us those visas extensions and since we were living in U.s at that time, maybe she thought we would use our visitors visas to stay in USA which was not necessarily true. what can I do? How can I solve this case. We never did anything wrong. no overstays or visa problems ever. is it possible to get my visitor visa back somehow???? help me.

Not much. You do not have to do anything wrong to be denied a visit visa. Yes, you may be able to secure a visit visa in the future if you can overcome 214(b).

I have my ties here. my well paid job, properties, education, family, everything is here. still, i have applied 2 times and the two times i keep getting denied for some reason???? any ideas, any help?.......

IM in Dominican Republic.

Back when you were an R-nonimmigrant, did you have an I-360 filed or a labor cert filed? How long were you and your family living in the U.S. as R's? How much equity did you build up in your resiudence and ties insde the U.S.?

INA 214(b) is the legally mandated presumption of you being an "intending immigrant" and you have failed to overcome that presumption.

What reason do you give for wanting to "visit" the U.S. now as merely a tourist when you had been "living in the U.S." previously?

What possible attraction could there be for you to visit merely for a vacation as a tourist?

Say it out loud and hear how ridiculous it sounds to yourself, let alone to a cynical Consular Officer who goes to work everyday and knows only one thing for sure: "Someone will lie to me today, probably many people, but at least one for sure!"

Im not interested in lying or living in u.s again. I have everything i have here. I just genuinely want to visit u.s for tourism at least. Even though it sounds hard to believe. Not everyone wants to immigrate my friend, not even after having lived in u.s before. That doesnt necessarily mean i want to stay there again.. Dont you think???

As I indicated earlier, an applicant does not have to do anything bad in order to fall victim to 214(b). A Pakistani friend of mine, living and working in Kuwait wanted to take his son to Disney Land. From the summer of 1996 (when his kid was 8) until 2004 (when his kid turned 16 and lost interest in Disney Land), he applied for a US visit visa every year and fell victim to 214(b). My friend is US educated, works for Sprint US (in Kuwait) and yet was never able to overcome 214(b) for his multiple B-2 visa applications.

The point I am making, overcoming 214(b) does have an element of luck at times.

i didnt have any immigrant petitions filed there either.....
