Stamping on new PP

Hi,


I have sent my PP for Visa stamping
SL date 26 Aug
DC date 28 Sep
I may receive it in first week of Dec. I am going to India in Dec. I am planning to change my name on the passport. If I do so, I may get a new pasport in India along with the old passport.

If I get a new PP, do I need to take again stamping in India?

If stamping is requiered for the new pp what r the docs. I have to submit to consulate office Chennai?

Pls anybody knows abt this help me.

FexEX tracking

Hi Guys,
My package has been picked up by FedEX today at 3:20pm. It will be delivered tomorrow at 3:00pm. I'll let you know if anything is new. Hope, this is a good news for you.

Visa Approved

Guys,


I called DC office of the state dept. this morning. I was told that my visa has been approved last Friday i.e. 11/7/2003. It will take few more days to print and mail.

My DC Date: Sept, 2nd, 2003.

My FedEx tracking number still shows no pickup.

I called many times to DC office today . It always did n't go through and says try again later .

My DC rc Date : 09/05 .

Looks like they started working on Sep 2 cases on last friday itself. I dont know which date's cases they processed today. But pulamala, you are right, its going to be delayed by 1 more day. I really cant afford even a single day delay.
 
I called them today. Tried many times, last time, asked me to hold, I waited 1 hour and she answered for a couple of minutes. But anyway, my DC date is Sep 5, I am just calling to check the fax I sent last week for a correction. The lady just asked me to wait. She said it will be processed in the first week of December. But I believe that wouldn't be the reality. I think according the current speed, it should be processed within a couple of days. I formatted and updated the list.

My PP received date in SL was - Aug 25, 2003. How do I find out when it reached DC?. Could you please provide the phone #s. Also let me know what time should I call?.

Whats your honest opinion about getting my pp back (with stamping) before Dec 5.

(Sorry.. New to this thread.)

Any answer would help.

But I don't know if they are working today, some of yesterday's messages said today being a federal holiday they may not work .

I've received our passports(with stamp) and documents back.

Passport change : yes (sent old and new)
Fee payment : Cahier Check
Sent one cashier-check for the whole family and attached only one FedEX cover for the whole family.

SL-Date : August 04, 2003
DC-Date : Sep 02, 2003
Visa Status : 11/08/2003
PP received date : Nov 11,2003

From DC-date, Nov 11 is exactly 70th day.

I've verified the documents and passports. Everything looks good. This forum was very helpful in tracking the status. Thanks for all your help and updates. Let us always help each other and make our work/efforts success.

the average date you receive the PP back is SL recd date + 3 months & 1 week. Since this being also the holiday season - thanks giving, veterans day.. it might get delayed a bit more. But let us keep our fingers crossed... :)

Based on the trend seen in July & August thread, consider around 3-1/2 months from your SL date. As per my opinion you should get it by 15th Dec latest.
 
Got the Passports

Hi Friends,

Got the passports just in time, my tickets booked for Nov 19. It's worth waiting all this time. I am a happy happy happy man....

SL : AUG 7
DC: SEP 2
APPROVED/PRINTED : NOV 10
PP Received : NOV 11
