You can call Mon. Wed. Fri after 2:00PM for the case status. If they say you can check automatic system, you can tell them phone system and email system haven't been updated lately at all.

If they ask you if you are the beneficiary or attorney office, don't answer them directly. Just say since you can not check the case status using automatic system, you have to call them to find out.

Good Luck and let us know if you hear anything.

Please help me understand this

Per my Attorney, my Labor which was filed under EB3 in Aug'01 was transmitted to DOL-ATL on Nov-21'02. But there after I did not hear anything from my attorney. So I called him yesterday just to check as one of my friend called from ATL stating his labor was approved which went on Nov-30'02. Now he says that it is in the system but the DOL receipt date states Jan-06'03 when he called the automated voice number.

I cant understand why it took DOL-ATL over 2 freaking months just to put it into the system.

Will my paper be looked into only in Jan'03 block or Nov'02 block? I am really fed up of this nonsense. First they screwed-up my Visa, then my labor applicaiton took more than a year + now again delay...

Guru's any advice as to what I should be doing. My attorney is not willing to give me my case number as it is against the Company rules so am I screwed as I am on L1B & my L1B of 5 yrs expires this Sept.

Any suggestions

Do you know in what category your friend and your case are filed under?

People in this forum having cases in July are still waiting. So could you clarify this for all of us?

Thanks a lot

No idea buddy!

You know if everyone was so nice in giving information that could help others... then this website would have been loaded right! Unfortunately, people love to give info that teases others.... which makes me sick.

People call themselves as friends but only to tease others is my thought.

I'm more or less prepared to head back home in Sept. With things going so slow... it's worth to just forget the future & atleast think of finding some good job back in India... I have had enough...

Nokia:

I can clarify somethings for you since you can't check your case status.

ATL DOL is currently working on July cases.

When your case is sent to ATL DOL, it will take only 2-3 days for them to enter into their system. But your case may not be available from the automatic system(either phone or email) for a while. Serveral people in this forum confirmed that.

Phone and Email system haven't been updated lately at all per my knowledge. My case is sent in Oct and I still couldn' t find it from auto system. But when I call them, they are able to find it.

I guess if anybody's case filed after July got approved, the only thing I can say is they are sooooooooooo lucky. It is not impossible. You know how government agency work.

So, I guess, I can go back to sleep and wake up in 4 months, maybe that time, my case has been approved.

Nokia..don't worry you will get it.

Did you not apply more than one year before your visa expires?
If you did then you can avail the 7th year extension and not have to go out of USA.:)

I checked the automatic telephone system and found my case from there. So they did an update recently.

Anybody got approval lately?

atlgc,

what do u need to use(like employer fone # or case #??) to check the automatic system for one's status? My case went was moved to ATL regional on Mar 17th and wanted to see if the auto system shows that it indeed was recd.

Either one can be used.

Email response is I guess always more up to date than the Phone system. I have been able to check my case status via the email system for quite sometime now.

However today is the first time, I was confirm the same via the Phone system. Definitely looks like they did an update.

Now if they can only speed up the actual processing of the cases......

I checked some cases from that list, they were processed within about 2 weeks. Those cases must be filed under special categories that have highest prority.
