First, the automatic system has not been updated for a long time. So you won't find your case at all.

Second, it is not working these days. If it just rings and rings, it means it is not working.

They said they are working to make the system work. But it's been at least two months already. It still doesn't work.

Sorry, I have no idea for all those info.
I tried to ask more from my company's attorney in Oct.. But she said she will let me know when my case is approved and starting i-140.

FYI

I got this reply from my attorney. My case was forwarded to ATL, but automated system was not showing it.

your application for labor certification was indeed transferred to the
regional DOL office in Atlanta, but not until 12/17/02. (It was batched to be
transferred on 11/27/02, but the actual transfer just occurred this week.)

Ideally, you should wait for a couple of weeks before checking back with the
regional office to get your assigned case number. Once files are transferred, it
generally takes a little bit of time for the cases to be logged in and the automated
system to be updated.

As of the latest update from DOL, the Atlanta regional office was still reviewing
applications they received in May 2002, so it will probably be another 5-6 months
before the regional office reviews your application and renders a decision.

Liad off

I was working for a financial giant in NC and got laid off this month.

My GC processing is in Federal Laobut ATL recived on 10/03/2002.
I am trying to find a job again in the same organization. If I find one I would assume that my gc will still continue.

I have waited like 14 months before it was approved in the state and moved to federal Atlanta.

:( :( :(

Now the question I have is...

Is there any way I can find a job with another organization in the same federal region and still use the same LC?

thanks in advance for any responses

LC does not have portability

Too bad about your layoff situation. To my understanding, you cannot use the current LC with another company. LC does not have portability. One future chance could be that as long as your company does not withdraw the LC, and later you rejoin them in the same job capacity, then you can reuse it.

Atlanta DOL

my case was forwarded to Atlanta DOL on Nov 21, according to the notice from FL SESA.

No info. after then, 404-562-2131 was not working, I don't know the case number, i haven't got any notice from Atlanta.......the only thing i have is my company's tax id.

any body knows any website, phone number or other sources that i can check the status ?

thanks.

Info Needed on GA SESA and DOL Delays

Hi Guys

I am a beginner on this thread and need some basic info about GA LC.

I work as a contractor with a Georgia based company, my employer (California based body shopper) is willing to apply for my Green Card.

Could you please tell me:

1. How much time does GA SESA take for RIR and Non-RIR

2. How much time does Atlanta DOL take for GA RIR and NOn-RIR

3. Are there any problems with labour applied with specific DOT codes. (In California DOL specific DOT code labour applications are undergoing serious scrutiny therefore the delay)

4. My employer is CA based while I work in GA, can my Labour be filed in GA

Thanks In Advance

prosix, thanks for the info.

I checked through the automatic email system. I used employer telephone number and tax ID in separate emails. I got different results but neither of them containing my case. :(

the notice from FL SESA said my case transferred on 11/21/02 to Atlanta, it has been more than 4 weeks.

can you get your case through the automatic email system?

gizgiz

Hi GIZGIZ

Is says that it takes 3 - 4 weeks to enter into their system,, once they receive it from SESA, but that is not true in all the cases. But you shouldn't worry about that.

If you got letter from SESA stating your case transferred to Atlanta, that is more than enough (at least it moved there).

by the I am also from FL. and my case was filed in Oct and moved to ATL on 4-dec-02. I too don't see my case from email which I am geeting back from lcastatus04 email address.

DO you have any idea how much are the chances for NOF or denial in ATL for case nowdays. I placed only one print add in FLorida Time union news paper and one on employer's web site and one on eployer's location. I am scared they may say that is not enough and deny my LC.

what is your situation in terms of Ads and recruitment.

Let us share the labor pain;)

Prosix

prosix,

my situation is I had Ads in Jan, Mar, Apr, July and Aug of 2002 on local newspaper. 10-day internal job posting in May. No candidate. my case submitted to FL SESA in early Oct.

i really have no idea about how it works, somebody says six months ads prior to submission is required, but looks like it's not an absolute "must".

let's pray for the best in the Christmas eve, good luck to you and to myself.

Guys Please put something in to this tracker, otherwise no wnder this tracker will no longer appear on first page....

Keep the hope alive here !!!

richlee168:

Would you mind posting what is your job title, like what category was your case filed under, software engineer or system analyst, etc?

Thanks a lot.
