I'm a green card holder based on political asylum. I need to travel back to my native country due to an emergency. Am I going to have any problems when I get back in USA? I don't want risking my green card for this trip.
It's been 7 years since I was aproved and things are getting better in my native country.

A green card holder is a Permanent Resident of the US, no matter how he obtained the green card. And according to the Contitution of the US, they cannot apply restrictions to the travel of a permanent resident anywhere in the world, until they obey the 6 month returning back to the US.

I have known people who have traveled back to their native countries while obtaining green card through asylum. It should not be a problem. They have to treat you as any other permanent resident at the port of entry.

On a personal level, I agree with what Lazerthegreat said.

But a number of prominent asylum lawyers have contrary views. For example, visit this website.

So just understand that there is a risk that cannot be dismissed. How serious? I have no ideas. Before 911, I would not worry too much. But now many people would counsel prudence.

So no one has a good answer to your question. It is your judgment call--how important is the trip to you and can you wait until you get your citizenship? Good luck.

This would involve you renewing or using your native countries passport. Surely you do not want to risk entering your native country with an US DOJ RTD.

In doing so, you would be technically seeking the protection of your native country.

Good luck, I would consult a lawyer. Let us know how it goes, I'm sure some of us wish we could go back to our native countries (in emergencies) for a few days.

A friend of mine, green card holder through asylum status, went back to his country to visit. When he came back, they took his fingure prints and asked him too many questions at the airport.
