Are white passports stamped at POE?

I’m interested to know if immigration at Point of Entry:

1. Stamps Reentry Permits…OR

2. Scans Reentry Permits without stamping them…OR

3. Even if Reentry Permit is given to IO…still country passport is stamped…

I’m interested in REAL experiences…NOT guesses…

My POE is Houston, TX (IAH)...

Thanks…

The last time I entered the USA (LAX), both my country passport and re-entry permit were stamped.

I hope you're not asking to determine if you need to disclose travel based on if a RET or passport is stamped/scanned or not at POE.

blkhawk...thanks for your answer...anybody else has same or different experience?

Bobsmyth…of course not! I have NO reason to do something like this! Why in the world would you ask such a question???!!!

You'd be surprised to know what posters have asked in the past..this follows along the lines of "if they didn't scan my passport at POE, was entry recorded?"

What other reason would you ask if they scan/stamp RET or passport at POE other than for recording purposes?

Bobsmyth…I can see your point now…actually my question has more to do with my passport country immigration than that of the U.S…

It freaks them out as it is that the U.S. doesn’t stamp passports on your way out…it would be even more complicated if they didn’t see a stamp for my entry…

In any case my question was hypothetical since I have no plans to leave before I get my citizenship…

Green Card holders are eligible for a Reentry Permit that proves their intention to preserve their green cards when traveling overseas…just incase they stay for more than a year…this of course would not help their N-400 application…but at least it would preserve their green card…

This document looks pretty much like an American passport…except that it used to be all white…thus, referred to as a “white passport”…now it is pale green…still referred to as a “white passport”…

Sorry for the confusion…

I was came in to us on Jan, 30 2009 using my re entry. The officer had just stamped the custom card and did not stamp my re entry. Maybe it's new proceeded? Because, the re entry was steamed once on my previous trip.
