Are timelines slowing down?

Hi,

In the recent past, it was taking around 2.5 months to complete the naturalization process at Washington DC DO. It looks like it now takes over 3 months. I also notice that it is taking longer from FP to IL. My FP was on Jan 19 at Alexandria ASC but have not heard anything since then. I would appreciate any experiences from folks whose DO is Washington DC that applied around Dec 30, 2009 or did FP around Jan 19, 2010. Thanks

All things being equal - I would bet the people who apply Dec 20 will get processed only a day or so before Dec 30 people.
And given the recent snowstorm and the shutdown in DC ... there goes another week.

A 2 week delay can easily be explained because of Christmas holidays which not only cut down on the # working days, but might also have sent some officers on vacation reducing the total available time. Then add some margin of error (since not each case gets processed at the same speed), and there you go...
 
Yeah.. My timeline is the same applied during the last week of Dec and did my FP at Alexandria ( richmond Hwy) on Jan 21st. Received a yellow letter to bring my State issued drivers license.Re ceived yellow letter last week before the snow storm.No News of Interview letter thus far.
Applied on Dec 27 --
FP on Jan 21st-
Confirmed with FBI on call - 22nd Jan.Well Done.
Yeallow Letter on Jan 30th.( to bring my State Issued DL)
Waiting for IL.
 
Thanks for your response. We are in the same periods but I have not yet received a yellow letter. I did FP before you- Jan 19, same place. I will keep patient and monitoring.

Yellow letter is a branch-off parallel process to interview scheduling. You can get the IL first an the YL much later or even never get th Yellow letter at all.
 
Hi WhoisGOD

Can u please provide FBI Phone Number to confirm. Do they entertain such requests from applicants and advise whether it was okay and when was this sent to USCIS.

Would greatly appreciate your help.

Read my timeline. USCIS is dragging *** now!
 
Lewisville texas seems pretty fast to me. I sdh be done with the whole process in less than 45 days look at my timeline
 
MY Online Status got updated yesterday and I recd a early morning message on my Phone..

Applied on Dec 27 --
FP on Jan 21st-

Considering that USCIS has a posted processing average time of 5 months, complaints from those whose cases have been pending less than that are moot regardless of if others with similar PDs have already had their cases adjudicated.
