ARE IT jobs covered as a part of TN visa?

Hi, i am a canadian living in india for 10 years.

1) Can anyone tell if IT jobs are covered under this and come under TN category?...
2) Is TN visa only given at the US-CANADA border?
3) Can i go from India directly to US and get TN visa at the US airport or after arriving in USA?
4) Since i am living in india for 10 years am i directly eligible to apply for this visa or there is some timeframe for which i have to stay in canada for that?

plz guide me

it jobs are one of core part of TN creation. Computer Analyst basically covers it IT.

you can get TN at any border crossing including US boders for the overseas flights. problem is that not all borders officers are experienced in this category. if you get denied at a airport you will be sent back. to where you came from.

you get it when you enter. at least for the first one.

if you have the educational requirement, living in india wont matter. it is an education dependent visa.

why will they send back? i believe canadians can go to usa anytime and dont need visa unless they work? is it true?

While that's true, if you have been denied entry in TN status they may deny you entry as a visitor since the POE officer may believe you will work without authorization.
 
and also can a canadian living in india for 10 years directly enter USA from India, without going to Canada?

Also, a smarter way to apply is to fly to Canada and cross the border via car or purchase a cheaper ticket from Canada to the U.S city you are applying for. This way if you are denied you only have to return to Canada -- fix your application and reapply. Rather than having to return to India.
