Got my welcome notice e-mail today. My wife's application is still pending. She also had LUD's on 08/28 and 08/29.

We (Me and my wife) received the email (CRIS) stating "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident" for 485 today. Hope that means my 485 got approved.....

My EAD Status is "Case received and pending". It seems Nebraska Svc. Center started issuing GC instead of EAD.

I was waiting for my EAD and when I saw the emails from CRIS I thought it was for EAD only...and it was. But then there were other emails too regarding my 485 case and their status said

So, I (actually my wife) called uscis and they confirmed this status.

Later in the evening, I got another email from CRIS regarding my 485 and it gives the status as

Current Status: Card production ordered.

So, that's about it....uscis is totally unpredictable.

The AGONIZING wait is probably over

I received the magic emails - Case approved, no info on whether there is a visa number allocated for the case or if the card was ordered or infopass required for stamping the passport or anything else. But thats good enough for now.
I wish to thank rajiv, the forum which has been a comprehensive faq - we should rename it the encyclopedia of US immigration, and its users - for all the info, help and support that I have received during these agonizing years.
for folks who are still waiting - I wish you all good luck and may your wait end soon.
BTW, I had 1 lud on 8/13 after the the lawfirm responded to the rfe (medical and one other case specific question) .

I got the magic emails today. I got the welcome and card production email. It only took about 55 days from FP. I was expecting the EAD approval first not the 485 (We haven't got the EAD and AP approval yet). I had no LUDs before approval. It's unbelievable. I was expecting my co-worker (EB2 TSC with earlier notice date) to be approved first but I got mine earlier. My guess is that our case (Me, wife, and 3 kids) got assigned with visa numbers (pre-adjucated) when received back in June. As you know, there are no visa numbers right now. Hang on guys, yours is coming next. Just have faith with the system. Thanks a lot to immigrationportal for this forum. Mabuhay!

Opened SR on Aug 8. Recd SR response Aug 30 saying Awaiting assignment to officer.
On Sep 5 evening , recd emails saying Card production ordered.
Good luck to the rest of you. You should all be getting the card soon.

Just wanted to give everyone of you an update. I finally got my card production ordered email this morning. Atlast, the journey is over. I'm very thankful to Rajesh khanna and everyone in this forum for their support.

Just wanted to share good news that my husband and i got our I-485 email notification from CRIS today (Card production ordered email).

The last LUD we got was on 08/28 with no status change.

So, for all who had LUD on that day (i know there were quite a few of us), expect your emails soon!

Hi,

I got my new Card production ordered email yesterday 9/7.Huge relief!

I had raised an SR on 7/31 and gotten back a generic email response from NSC on 8/21 saying it was processing a large number of applications, et al.Nothing specific was mentioned about my case and they had asked not to contact USCIS for the next 90 days.

Wife has still not gotten her email, somehow her fingerprinting dates were messed up and we have had a gap of a few months between our appointment dates since 2005.She provided her 3rd FP's yesterday.
