I am a silent viewer of this forum.
It is one of the place which gives lot of info and updates and appreciate everyone.
If anyone and everyone who has any LUD's (I-485) in the past 20 days,
I am tempted to bet that they will receive the welcome mail any minute.
I have received the welcome mail today for me and my wife.
I am not sure about the difference between Card production vs welcome vs approval email.
Do I need to expect Card production mail or just this one mail is good to get the card.
Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.
On September 9, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status.
Please follow any instructions on the notice.
Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or
after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.
If you move before you get your new card call customer service.

I have very close PD as yours. PD: 12/10/2001.
But My I-485 receipt date is July 2003.
Why they are not touching the old files and approve very recent cases?

Old cases
I remember watching a congressional inquiry on FBI background checking a while back. the director mentioned about old files having paper based that we're not yet entered on their data base. Whereas, newer ones are electronically entered when received from USCIS and other agencies. I suppose this may be a valid reason why background checks and consolidated data base amongst agencies gets a grim backfire on people who were in line before.
I am happy for those who got approved with '07 RDs but I have to admit it gets a bit emotional to see others with earlier RDs left in a storage room somewhere.
Keep your hopes up. Time will come. Eventually...

ftsoh - Did you receive any LUD's on I 485 petition? Our cases are similar and I got my I 140 week after yours hopefully I will get I 495 also in that order

ftsoh - Did you receive any LUD's on I 485 petition? Our cases are similar and I got my I 140 week after yours hopefully I will get I 495 also in that order
I received several LUDs for I-485. I guess they are for fingerprinting (8/17), I-140 approval (8/22), and namecheck. The key thing is, I have two consecutive LUDs on 8/27 and 8/28. This is a very good sign that I-485 will be approved within 2 weeks, as being proof by a lot of users here and trakitt.
I don't see you have a fingerprinting date. I hope your approval will be coming soon after fingerprint.

Received AOS approval email on 09/05/07 and notice on 09/10/07. No card yet, though card production email was received on 09/06/07.
I guess "all is well that ends well". My GC process is a big story. May end up writing a book someday. Was delayed by 14 months coz of name check.

My finger prints were done on 5/17/07 and there was a LUD on 5/18. I did not get any LUD on 485 after 140 approval.

Folks,
Just wanted to share my happiness of my I 485 approval...I received those magic emails from USCIS confirming the cards ordered... BTW, my case was stuck in Name Check process for about 2.5 years and the last action from side was the letter sent to First lady three months ago and ofcourse I went through all the standard process of expediating the case(senator, congressperson, several visits to uscis center etc)... but from my personal experience nothing works... only thing which will work is "PATIENCE" and for sure it will pay dividends... have hope and wait for your turn to send emails like this...
Good luck to all long time sufferers like me....you will get it...

Case is pending due to visa number availability - New allocation will take place in Oct'07 after which case will be adjudicated or processed further. Nothing until then.
So, basically they are out of visa numbers - Keeping fingers crossed
Does it mean in Oct, there is likelihood for more GC to be approved for old cases based on PD or are they looking at I485 RD?

My guess is that they are trying to approve my green card (I-485) and they are not even touching AP(I131) and EAD(I485). I do not need them at all when my green card is approved. Everyone is different, we can only pray for the best. I know that a lot of people are frustrated and I have been in that position too. Today, I'm going to celebrate because I deserved it after waiting for so many years. I hope that day will come for all of you and you can say, "It is my day to celebrate today." If anyone needs anything, send me a message. I will still be around until I get the card in my hand. That's what count. Thanks again to all of you. May the force be with you.
I just spoke to the IO and it told me that my case is approved. It send for card production and that I have to sit tight and wait for 4 weeks max to get my actual card. I'm good to go. For those of you who get a welcome letter, I would asked that you call the customer service line and they will give you more info.
