Applying SSN using EAD (for dependent)!

Hi folks :

I140 , EAD's approved ; AP not applied yet

We would like to apply for SSN for dependent applicant using EAD card who is on H4 status.

1. Just wondering whether JUST applying SSN by showing EAD at SSN office same as using it for work and it will nullify dependent H4 status ?

2. Can primary applicant apply for second job(part time) on EAD, which may be completely different in job described in original LC petition? and Is it legal work like that?

3. For dependent applicant, Can he/she choose whatever work he/she want to do it using EAD, does he/she job description/function effect the primary applicants AOS?

For Q2, Incase if i start working for secondary job using EAD, do i need to inform about this to my employer (GC sponser) at primary job location and ask him to use my EAD (W2) instead my H1B?

For Q3, could you advise on second part of the question please ..('does he/she job description/function effect the primary

--- H4 can apply for SSN showing EAD, just getting EAD or SSN# will not void H4 status, if he/she works with EAD then he/she is Not on H4 status,

yes, it can be any kind of job with EAD, but you should be working full time with your employer and can use EAD for any kind of part time job, no not to inform the primary employer for second job, if the primary applicant H1B holder uses the EAD then the Spouse is no more on H4 status but if Spouse H4 holder uses EAD then H1 holder still cam maintain H1 status
3. For dependent applicant, Can he/she choose whatever work he/she want to do it using EAD, does he/she job description/function effect the primary applicants AOS?

----- She can do any kind of work/job with EAD; job functions or job description does not affect the primary applicant or AOS. Primary applicant should maintain H1 status with employer or work full time with sponsor employer with EAD


*** If you both use EAD then always have valid AP, you both have to enter US using the valid AP
