Applying for B2 visa whilst having a valid H1B and i-140- currently employed in Canada

Hello Sir,

I am an Firmware employee in Canada (on a Work permit) holding a valid H1-B visa and approved i-140.
I was holding off on applying the B2 visa as I was expecting my H-1B visa transfer to happen by this quarter. Due to the current circumstances at my company, the transfer seems to be getting delayed and I would like to apply for a B2 to possibly pursue my US travel plan for later this year.

I also have my i140 approved recently, and I was told that I should be able to apply for my B2 visa without any impact to my H-1B and i-140 visa, as long as am I transparent with all my previous travel history and records of all visas held(in my case F1), but I would like to get some clarity on any implications that I might have in the future when my H1-B transfer process gets initiated
• Would the B2 application impact the existing H-1B and I-140 when the transfer gets initiated or would the risk be limited to determining the eligibility for the visitor visa?
• Would the B2 process incur a RFE for the H-1B in the future after the transfer process has started?

As I understand, since the filing of an I-140 is an expression of immigrant intent, I was wondering if it may cause issues if I plan to enter the US on a non-work visa (B2) as I do not want to make it risky or cause any complications to my work visa as well.

Thank you for your time and hoping to hear back from you on this matter.

Regards,
Aiswarya
